Inaugural Countdown: Only five weeks to the Inaugural Ball! Get your tickets now!!

Only five more weeks to Inauguration Day. You won't want to miss the excitement and pageantry. The dinners, the Inauguration itself, the parades, the balls, great fun, great fellowship and great memories to last a lifetime!

Basil and Mr Basil!

Just be there, baby!

And less than two weeks left to get your early bird reduced price tickets to the Free Republic W2 Inaugural Ball featuring Gov. Huckabee and Capitol Offense.

About half of those who signed up to get their tickets at the $175 price have submitted their orders. Order your tickets now before the price goes up to $200 after December 26. We want to make sure that everyone who requested tickets has a chance to attend the ball at the initial reduced price.

We're posting this message as a reminder before folks start their Christmas travels next week. BTW, W2 Inaugural Ball tickets make great stocking stuffers for the conservatives in your family!

Hope to see you at the Ball!!

Thank you very much,

Jim Robinson, Kristinn and the W2 Inaugural Ball Committee

P.S. This event is not a fundraiser for FR. It's priced to (hopefully) at least break even.

P.P.S. If you can't go to the ball, but would like to help someone else get there, please donate to our ticket discount fund and or to our general ball fund. Donations are being accepted to help cover the costs of inviting honored guests such as wounded members of our armed forces recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital. We've already received enough in donations to get at least four or five soldiers and guests to the ball and to offer discounts to several others. We'd like to invite as many as we possibly can.

Well, we could always make room for one more in the FReepmobile. Maybe we could add another seat or two?

Not Atlanta, but Chattanooga. Is that near enough to count as neighbors?

I'm considering the open-toed shoes - mostly because of the formal shoes I have, the ones with open toes are most comfortable and I wan tto be able to really enjoy the evening. Not worry about my feet hurting.

I'm afraid it will be cold though. If we take a car to the hotel, maybe we can manage the shoes without freezing our feet.

Haven't bought a dress yet. My best guy has bought his tux, I just can't seem to settle on a dress.

OK, here's what you do. Wear the fancy shoes for awhile and make sure they are noticed. THEN, put on a pair of these. If your dress is long enough nobody has to know - except YOU and your feet!!! ;-)

Man I am going crazy- bump ! Tracking down threads one by one with Inaugural themes and bumping them off ! Just kidding- bumping them up to their rightful status...

Too much time on my hands in Karshi-Khanabad, Uzbekistan (where the hell is Uzbekistan ?) awaiting a flight to Tashkent, (Uzbekistan's capitol; a frontier town in the war on terror)

Heading to Frankfurt, Chicago, Il., Bloomington, Il., Lincoln, Il., then motorcading to DC for a rousing good time with a bunch of good eggs !!!

I love you man-
(Can I have your beer ?)
