It is all now packaged by one supplier in an attractive box. Cheap too! Funny thing--it tastes pretty good as a favored Depression era dish, right along with mac and cheese. Ahhh, the memories of food we survived on. All of you youngsters don't understand what it means to go from day to day wondering what's for dinner, if any. And later we got those tasty C rations--the worst idea since hardtack and raw bacon.

Don't get me wrong, I probably liked Green Bean Casserole the first 100 times I tried it, BUT...Did you ever see the Andy Griffith episode about spaghetti? Everywhere he went he was being served spaghett, until he just couldn't take it anymore. That's how I feel about GBC. Too many houses served too much GBC on too many occassions! Mac & Cheese is another story, though. I will never, NEVER, I say, tire of it. The ultimate comfort take me back home food.!

... I really like that memorial of him in Washington not far from the Washington one...

Actually, the Federal memorial is located in Texas. Check out the National Park Service web site:

http://www.nps.gov/foda/

"Set in the rugged beauty of the [Jefferson] Davis Mountains of west Texas, Fort [Jefferson] Davis is one of America's best surviving examples of an Indian Wars' frontier military post in the Southwest."

By the way - it's located in Jeff Davis County. And the folks that live there are some of the best people I've ever been privileged to meet...

"The only thing Republicans have to take into account is 70 million baby boomers retiring in the next 8-10 years and a lot of them will move south."

Don't worry about boomers. We began to vote in 1968 and we elected Richard Nixon, twice; Ronald Reagan, twice; Goerge HW Bush; and now Goerge W. Bush, twice. The South will be fine for the foreseeable future.

Or they can use "re-framing" to put up another liberal dressed in conservative clothing.

Mrs. Bill Clinton has been busily "reframing" herself for the past year or so. I hope it is noticed all around that she is using one-bys on 40 inch centers.

The generation-long political retreat of Democrats across the South is disintegrating into a rout.

Don't bet your life on this.

1] soaring birthrates of non-taxpayers

2] soaring illegal alien invasions

3] soaring social welfare spending

= a crashing of the conservative voice. Radicals and extremists in the socialist camp will rule the roost in 2015-2050.

America that conservatives know will be lost forever.

"It never ceases to amaze me how many Republicans have this lovefest going with Lieberman. How soon we forget!! As Algore's running mate, Lieberman was quick to push ALL of his previously held principles aside and was vocal in restating his beliefs. Ultra libeatl beliefs. Have we forgotten???"

Right on, brother! Lieberman's voting record in the Senate is indistinguishable from his fellow CT senator & raging liberal Chris Dodd. Yet somehow Lieberman has this phony moderate/conservative label attached to him.
