She sure sings sweet.
All I know is that she plays and sings circles around Ashcroft.
We have worked with her and she has been to our church. She is the real deal. Go and enjoy her concert. It will be wonderful.
Thanks for the heads up. If I can get half decent tickets, I hope to go also.
I doubt you would ever find a Lib that would listen to Allison Krauss and Union Station. Too much Gospel themed music for them ;) Think you should be fine.
Listening to Ricky Skaggs right now and I don't want to know his politics.
Best voice in country.
If someone is a liberal or gay or anything else in their personal lives (and make it a point to keep it personal)...why should we care?
Enjoy the work they do and forget about the other crap.
She "shuts up and sings." As long as she's not spouting her opinions, I'll be happy to appreciate her considerable talent.
I received my tickets in the mail today for the concert in Melbourne, FL on Feb. 4. Get 'em if you can.
If they shut up and sing, I would say "Have a great time"
I would go if they were appearing near me.
My wife and I would go to that Columbia show except that we just found out today that I got a job I applied for up in Richmond and I start January 10...so no AKUS at the Township for us. :/ It's too bad, I'd LOVE to see them live. They are a simply amazing collection of musicians, and not to mention Alison's as easy on the eyes as she is on the ears. :)
Go, and enjoy the show, just don't get mugged outside the Township. That's not the best neighborhood.

I have seen her in concert. It's the only concert I've gone to in probably 15 years. It was wonderful! Well worth the money, she never mentioned politics once.
Also, I'm embarrassed to admit I can't think of the other bands she was with, they had songs in "O Brother where art thou". They were just as wonderful as she was. I'm guessing she may still be touring with them but I don't know. This was about 6 months ago.
Oh yeah, Union Station is the best live band I've ever heard, thats for sure.
I saw her at the State Theater two years ago and it was without a doubt the best performance I have ever been to. Quit checking political backgrounds and go.
Allison has a voice like four angels.
Go and enjoy........
Have no idea as to her politics, but her voice to me is like fingernails dragged across the chalkboard - if anyone is old enough to get that.
Alison Krauss' duet of Louvin Brothers' "How's the World Treating You" is one of the best recordings I've ever heard.
Too bad the duet is with lefty James Taylor.
