Well, I agree to a point, that he shouldn't be using the classroom for this.
I'm sure, however, that if he was promoting gay marriage, abortion, sexual promiscuity, etc. he would still have his job.

You forgot trashing dead white men, proving Thomas Jefferson had illegitimate black children and celebrating Ramadan.

Force your belief that anything CONTRARY to the Bible is wonderful and you get promoted to head of the school system. Talk about Christ and how He frees you from troubles so that you can think clearly and you're fired.
WAY too big a double standard for me.

I'm sure, however, that if he was promoting gay marriage, abortion, sexual promiscuity, etc. he would still have his job. Well not if he was direct about it. But if he was sufficiently subtle and called it "diversity and multiculturism" he would get away with it.
Teachers who out and out advocate for any political cause will get dismissed in all but the most liberal school districts. Count on most teachers to know this and be more careful. But the general idea behind your post is true.

If he were putting condoms on bananas, he'd still have a job, which brings up a rather interesting point:
Atheism is a belief system in which man is the supreme being. Our public schools and public institutions have essentially decided to endorse atheism as the state-sponsored religion of the United States.
I'd say that Ziegler's proselytizing may be about as annoying as listening to some teachers prattle on about their life experiences.

Of course, the ACLU assures us we need to separate Church and State, not State and Bathouses, Brothels and Abortion Mills.

"Well, I agree to a point, that he shouldn't be using the classroom for this."I think he could have been a little more tactful, by not doing it on a daily basis, or at least, not making a session out of it. Throwing in a Bible verse, occasionally, would be OK. I think he just wanted to teach or preach to students about God. He should go to a christian private school for that.
I know it's hard to believe, some people pay thousands of dollars to have their child taught morals and religion.
I should know, I am one of the parents that did.
