"This is the reality of it: Kemosabe is not really just one word. It is like this, KEMO SABE, and it means in Tonto's tribal language whatever that was, KEMO SOBBY, just like it sounds. The Lone Ranger's actual first name was KEMO and in private, he cried a lot. So, Tonto often called him (but not in a derogatory manner) KEMO SOBBY. Tonto was very caring and compassionate"
Ha ha ha hha ha ha! I think I understand now why you call your self "twinkie"!(just kidding....:})
Be sure to eat everything on your plate at dinner tonight because there are people starving in Africa.
Bye, Visual Politics!He's dead, Jim!
Thanks Meek, I feel better now. Complete even.
TROLL!!!
Tonto is the spanish word for Idiot.
Kemosabe was a bastardized version of "quien no sabe," roughly "he who knows nothing."
An early version of dumb and dumber.
babel fish at least confirms the translations, whether the story is true or not.
The main point is that these mind control fascists are on an even plane with Hitler and Stalin, but they don't have a clue the awful path that they have set themselves on. "Re-education camps" and thought police are all too close. Orwell was right, he was just off by 20 years.
Dale Even's horse was Buttermilk.
Tonto's horse was Paint?
Nellebelle was the Jeep!
heh! :^D
BTTT
correctamundo..
"Correct! The Lone Ranger's brother and nephew were both Dan Reid, and the Green Hornet was Britt Reid.
Tarzan, on the other hand was John Clayton, Lord Greystoke. Not related to the radio serials, but from the original books by Burroughs."
I seemed to remember a family tree that some writer had worked up a while back showing how many of the heros and superheros were related.
That's where I remembered that the Green Hornet was related to the Lone Ranger.
And where I thought I remembered that Lord Greystoke had an American cousin.
Complete cast information for 'The Roy Rogers Show' can be had at:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043225/
Pat Brady was played by...Pat Brady, as indeed all the lead characters played themselves in that programme. Pat Buttram, a second-tier star in his own right, had no connection with Roy Rogers, but was Gene Autry's sidekick for years.
Merry Christmas to you!
I just finished watching the Bells of Coronado w/ Pat Butram in it. Hmmm. Perhaps he didn't transition to the show. Thanks for the correction.
Phillip Jose Farmer wrote a couple of books that were pseudo-biographies of Lord Greystoke and Doc Savage, purporting to reveal that they had the same father. These books were written as if they were real scholarly works, complete with footnoted references to other "sources". He also based a couple of novels around that concept.
Ping to Servant of the Nine: he may have more info.
And here in Phoenix, Governor Dike Dike Reno Neapolitan Napolitano completely by-passed state regulations in order to re-name "Squaw Peak" as "Piestewa Peak" in order to honor a female soldier killed in Iraq.
Nice gesture and all, but she didn't need to violate established procedures to accomplish her ends.
Cheers!
