The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

WASHINGTON - A terrorist attack on a tanker loaded with liquefied natural gas could cause massive damage a third of a mile away and could send a vapor cloud billowing more than 1.5 miles, government scientists say.

With the the nation clamoring for more natural gas, policy-makers are trying to figure out how to safely import large quantities of liquefied natural gas or LNG.

"Also, during the holidays there was a flight from Philadelphia to London that did a u-turn about 3+ hours into the flight, and returned to the Philadelphia airport. I don't recall if there was any follow-up info. regarding why they returned."

There was a follow-up...it returned to Philly, stayed for a whole 3 mins and then took off for London again.

It's looking that way. If this does not give reason enough to get and stay prepared, nothing will. This IS truly frightening. We've all known that we cannot depend on the gov't for our safety and this little tidbit drives that concept home.

DEARBORN, Mich. -- A Michigan teacher accused of making an anti-Arab remark to his students is awaiting a decision on whether he'll keep his job.

Officials have suspended the teacher with pay while they investigate a report he told his middle-school students that Bedouin Arabs used the Quran, the Muslim holy book, as toilet paper.

The teacher is on the faculty of a middle school in Dearborn, a Detroit suburb where about 30,000 residents are Arab-American.

Parents have complained to anti-discrimination groups. The director of one says the teacher should apologize. School officials reportedly had a closed hearing on the matter Tuesday and the superintendent will decide the case this week.

These are still highly populated areas, given the scope of weaponry they are threatening to use. They could do it on a Sunday night at 2 a.m. - the economic devastation would still be enormous and change our way of life, maybe forever.
