SANTA ANA — An Orange County woman said in an expose that aired last night that her ex-husband is a Muslim extremist who helped set up an al Qaeda sleeper cell in their Anaheim apartment complex in the 1990s. Saraah Olson told ABC-TV's "Primetime Live" that her ex-husband, Hisham Diab, beat her, turned a local teenager into a terrorist fanatic, and brought other terrorists into their home.
Authorities say the couple's former neighbor, Khalil Deek, is considered a major al Qaeda figure, and is believed to have run the Orange County cell -- one of the first al Qaeda sleeper cells.

Over three years, Olson told ABC-TV, she and her ex-husband hosted some of Osama bin Laden's top deputies including blind Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman in 1992. He later was sentenced to life in prison for his leadership role in the 1993 bombing at the World Trade Center.

I used to be a screener for the TSA. I treated EVERYONE the same (politely and professionally). From time to time I'll read the threads here that criticize screeners for being picky with non-Arab appearing people. This guy, cleaned up, would get a pass if some had their way because he doesn't LOOK like the 9/11 hijackers.
I hope we catch him soon.
And how many more like him are out there?
Hopefully very many less than there was, but I suspect that there are thousands, and plenty more where they came from.

Jamie Gorelicks memo that prevented the CIA and FBI from collaborating.......it looks like in this case there was no domestic crime being committed contemporaneously......FBI was prohibited from dabbling in "foreign" intelligence. This memo also provided the wall of separation that shiekded a variety of Clintons shenanigans from seeing the light of day.
Her notification of the FBI was pre-911. I think it's generally understood that all security agencies respond differently today, post-911, when information of the kind this woman provided comes onto the government's radar screen. Her ex-husband is now a highly sought after terror suspect believed to be hiding in Pakistan.
There is a hidden agenda at work in the story and it behooves perceptive readers to be aware of it. This woman didn't just pop up yesterday. Her husband left her years ago. Why has she decided now, three years after 911, to come forward? Why didn't she come forward then? Why is Brian Ross, a notoriously leftwing investigative reporter, using her as a club to beat the FBI over the head for lapses that occurred before 911?
This is a story that definitely should not be taken at face value. Ross is looking to make trouble for the Bush administration and the woman is looking to paint herself as a "victim" and possibly get a book deal or some other emolument. Neither of them comes to the story with clean hands.

This looks like good news. They're cracking. The woman has blown the cover on the whole thing (probably some time ago, and it's now going public).
Someone ought to get this woman's story to that idiot twerp college stoont who's converting to Islam and marrying a rug-pilot... the thread was on here yesterday (I'm too lazy to look for it right now). Her future is this woman's past - get ready for islamic black eyes and bruises, dipstick.
FBI has A Problem somewhere. My first question is whether they've always been this way. We've been conditioned to think they're all Ephraim Zimbalist Jr., but I don't know the truth. But if in fact they were once effective but now have gotten corrupted, how did it happen, and how can we reverse it? (I'd like to reflexively blame Clinton, of curse, but getting to the bottom of it is probably more important than pinning it on multiculturalist leftist dirtbags, although they're an obvious target.)

There is a story from about a year ago about a 2 year Missile Sting that happened in NJ. That story isn't available on line anymore. I still have the hardcopy here from the NJ Star Ledger and it supports your thoughts.
If you can cite an example of the FBI ignoring an account of a terror cell on US soil post 911 I'd love to hear it.

I had a similar experience here. I tried to report a situation here that I knew the details of intimately and called up the US embassy and spoke to Brian F. Duffy. When I went down a few days later, Brian Duffy did not see me, but he sent one of his underlings to deal with me.
I was basically told that they are not interested in any terrorist activities unless they directly threaten the US embassy. Thank you and drive through and come again.

She is a southern California native, I believe, but if not she's definitely an American anyway, very unattractive but smart, and her story is fishy to say the least.
