seems to me once the electoral college votes are certified this all becomes mute unless Ohio law trumps the US Constitution?

You know they'll be able to find some Clinton federal judge somewhere to declare that the mere fact that Bush won was somehow unconstitutional (violates equal treatment by denying Democrats the chance to steal an election?).

Also, it's moot, not mute. Mute is someone who can't talk, or that thing you shove in the end of a trumpet to make the sound quieter.
