Wood found on Mars? Not Photoshoped - off the nasa website.
Nasa.gov ^
Posted on 12/27/2004 8:38:41 PM PST by Next_Time_NJ

now im not a betting man, but i know landrovers and there space caps are not made of wood. This clearly looks like a wooden plank to me. Unless someone hacked Nasa.gov's website and put up a photoshop'ed photo, this looks kinda odd.

It's a layered piece of likely sedimentary rock (awfully interesting in and of itself) that's been tilted vertically. But not wood.
To: Next_Time_NJ
It looks pretty odd to me, too. It looks like a big piece of wood alright. I wonder what the heck it is. Didn't they post any kind of description of the photo?

I see a few more of them up and off to the right near the lip of the crater.
And I see C3PO by the escape pod directly above the wood off in the distance.

What is odd to me is the split in the middle tword the left edge. Just like if you nail a piece of wood with a spike and it splits.

Probably something from the lander that was held on with an o-ring that got too cold and let go just before landing.
To: Battle Hymn of the Republic
LOL! Need some wood? It sure does look like wood, though.
I was visiting the DUmmy site, just for spits and giggles, and one poster had quite a lengthy post about JK and President Bush in the debates, stating that JK had exposed President Bush as a liar about his lumber company twice, intimating, I guess, that JK had sure gotten one over on the President, thereby winning the debate. I loved President Bush's response!

But it does look totally out of place with the rest of the scenery.
It would be nice to see it further enlarged.

Noahs Ark was actually an interplanetary space ship. It briefly touched down on several planets before depositing the seeds to human life, originating on the garden planet of heaven... on a really nice place Noah was called to terraform... a planet we know as earth.
they left a few sticks of wood on Mars... leftovers from a barbeque....
heh heh...

Tracks of rover show that it ran over it. Perhaps petrified or prehaps just floated across the sea. The ground looks saturated with water. May bubble up large scale during high tidal periods with Mar's two moons. John
