I noted that "The Washington Post" couldn't refrain from slamming the president for his supposed laxity of continuing to be on vacation during this SE Asian disaster.

If there's no presidential news, they'll make some up by way of a hit piece.

A marked difference in religious beliefs.

Christians are supposed to boast about their charity work. In fact, discussing it can negate God's blessing.

I usually laugh when so many FReepers put in " It's Bush's fault" to every event that comes up. But it really is true. NOTHING happens that without the Washington Compost or the New York Slimes to slur the President or Vice President with it. Don't they understand that every slur, every charge - CHEERS OUR ENEMIES, THE PEOPLE WHO WANT US DEAD....AND WHO WANT EVEN THE AUTHORS OF THE CRITICISM DEAD? It just boggles the mind that they cannot under any circumstances just keep their mouths shut. We are in a WAR on Terrorism and their LOOSE LIPS and VENOM FILLED MOUTHS will sink our ship of state unless God's mercy continues to intervene.

And yet, it was the Indonesian president who said that President Bush called him before anyone else did, and that the President offered whatever they needed.

This happened 2 days before Clinton mouthed off that Bush was on vacation and doing nothing.

Didn't President Bush make a comment about the tidal waves on Sunday, as he was leaving to go to Crawford? I could have sworn I heard him say something about how sorry he was, to pray for them--at the same time he offered the first $15 million. Did anyone else hear this or am I losing it? When I heard the first criticism of him not addressing the issue, I thought to myself, HE ALREADY DID.
