Man I haven't heard of that virus for several years now, it used to be prevalent, but has no usefull life span (since it kills most of its victoms), an so has fallen into obscurity. Did you ever learn the name of this virus?

My kid does computer maintenance for a local IT company and told me about the exact same problem on a computer someone brought in for repair a couple of weeks ago.

Good idea to have a motherboard with a dual bios. Eases the problem somewhat.
