I have a question: Why aren't the Demonrats and their fellow travelers crying out about how the illegal aliens are being "exploited" by low wages? They just stand by and allow the minimum-wage law, which they advocate, to be violated.

--if we're going to go after the "corporate crooks", let's also see that an employer can refuse to hire anybody that can't prove citizenship and further reform welfare to ensure that any able-bodied recipient has to go to work--

Senators Kennedy and McCain joined forces

What a pair. These two are quite out of touch with America and reality.

Yeah, pretty much. But unfortunately, in this case, it is true.

The President I voted for is taking an open borders stance that places a tremendous economic burden on state and county facilities, dilutes our culture and compromises our sovereignty.

I don't hate the president. I just hate his stance on this issue.

I held my tounge during the election for fear of giving aid and comfort to the Democrats. But now that we've won...I am free to criticize this idiotic and destructive policy of being the dumping ground for the 3rd world.

Well you know you're going to get flamed when you post stuff like that, although I'm always surprised at the number of joiners up.

I'm all for everyone expressing their frank political views, but unfortunately not many on FR have the stomach for it.

Utter drivel.

Maybe, but the president is still wrong on this issue.

I live in West Texas, and I could not agree more if I tried. You are right-on in your assessment.
