From Pot to Porn to AARP - (Don't miss this information!)
A.I..M.ORG ^ | DECEMBER 29, 2004 | CLIFF KINCAID

The American Association for Retired Persons now calls itself simply "AARP" because some members are offended by the term "retired" and it wants to appeal to younger Americans. But the organization is now trying to explain a far more serious and deceptive practice. It hired an admitted former drug user and dealer as an editor of its 22-million circulation magazine. He has emerged as a spokesman on the so-called "medical marijuana" issue, telling America that seniors might benefit from smoking dope.

With the assistance of Jeanette McDougal of Drug Watch International, anti-drug activists Joyce Nalepka and Dee Rathbone uncovered the Dwyer connection when they read how AARP had "decided to study" the issue of "medical marijuana."

Grandparents are the most anti-drug segment of our society."

Perhaps this is why seniors have been targeted with a poll that is being used to push dope. Forcade, if he were alive, would be proud of AARP The Magazine.

For a while now I have been under the opinion that AARP was created by the global socialists as a means of herding old people into the welfare state.

"Grandparents are the most anti-drug segment of our society."

Can one imagine their grandparents, sitting around watching Jeopardy, when one of them says, "Let's roll a big fatty." :)

I'm having a hard time picturing that one. Thanks for the post, Charlite.

Hmmm... Perhaps if the greedy geezers were too stoned to call their congresscritters, we'd get social security reform passed. These guys might be onto something!

As my Mother used to say, "I won't go to that beauty parlor because only old people go there." She was 88 at the time.

I agree with your assessment.

My question is this: When are the adults going to step up and take over this organization and make it something more than a whining party.

In case you haven't noticed, UURP is leading the charge against SS reform. I refuse to send any money their way, as they are consistantly on the wrong side of every issue.

So does this mean that AARP Magazine will soon have a foldout centerfold and "Letters to AARP" ?

My Gram had rheumatoid Arthritis. She tried everything (including acupuncture, which was pretty much limited to experimental practice in 1968 Seattle)
, but the drugs that were available at the time were either too weak to give her any relief, or so strong she couldn't get out of bed.

My older brother turned her on the "devil weed" and it became her big secret.

She smoked dope for close to six years. (and it helped her immensely! ;'}
