Civil Disobedience Begins
Arutz 7 ^ | 20:11 Dec 28, '04 | staff

The "civil disobedience" campaign against the transfer/expulsion plan has begun. Shomron residents waged a sit-in on a road near Shavei Shomron, blocking a Disengagement Authority bus on its way.

Three residents of Shomron communities were arrested this afternoon as they, encouraged by more than 50 supporters, sat on the road to block a convoy of Disengagement Authority officials traveling near Shavei Shomron and Homesh. Among those reported to have been taken into custody is Kedumim Mayor and long-time Yesha activist Daniella Weiss.

Sometimes overlooked by the planned expulsion of nearly 8,000 residents in Gush Katif, the 500 residents of four northern Samaria communities are also on the chopping block. The move will leave practically the entire northern Shomron in Arab hands, and place areas such as Netanya, Hadera, Afula and others under the same threats they faced before the Six Day War.

Mayor Weiss, contacted by Arutz-7 while she was waiting to be interrogated by police, said, "Three of us, all women, have been arrested as we bodily prevented the disengagement bus from going through. The police struck us, and I am full of bruises... The bus, filled with 50 army officers and officials involved in infrastructures, electric, telephony and the like, was blocked from going into Sa-Nur and Homesh [two of the four Shomron communities slated for demolition], as the residents refused to allow them to enter... I can tell you that they had no personal contact with any of the residents."

Asked to comment on the ramifications of Israel's withdrawal from northern Samaria, Mayor Weiss said, "Everyone who lives on the coastal plane from Haifa to Tel Aviv must be aware that if, Heaven forbid, this area falls into the hands of those who say they are the successors to Arafat, the story will not end here, but in Ramat Gan and Herzliya."

"Giving the PA all of Israel except one grain of sand will not be enough. How many times do they have to tell the world - their goal is the total elimination of Judah?" Exactly. Its amazing that some people fail to see this, or are unwilling to admit it

What's amazing to me is it seems Israel doesn't understand they seal their fate in terror by negotiating with these refugees. The land is Israel's. Israel is G-D's Chosen. They need to humble themselves, swallow their national pride and seek the forgiveness of YHWH for not trusting in Him and His word. I pray right now for the peace of Jerusalem and all Israel!

"but you seem to stress the indiscriminate killing of adveraries a lot. "

If you go back and read my posts, you will see that I favor RELOCATING the Arab enemies of Israel, NOT killing them. I only advocated killing the terrorists and those who take up arms against Israel. Aside from that, I only suggested killing in retaliation to terror attacks.

"The Israelis choose not to. They apparantly are unwilling to lower themselves to the same standards of their foes."

That's exactly what I said.

"Perhaps the political pressures from other countries is a factor, but in a crunch, International politcs will not be considered when it comes to survival.
Israel is after all a civilized Nation. Diplomacy and tact has a place in the world in the affairs of nations."

I agree. But Israel must not risk destruction to please Kofi Annan or France.

You're right. Israel and those pressuring Israel to negotiate must realize that they are only pushing Israel down the path to destruction.

The Jews suffered a Holocaust, and now stupids like Shimon Peres and Yossi Beilin are willing to risk another one to satisfy their self-hating liberal peace treaties and roadmaps. Peres would sell out his nation and his people for a Nobel Prize.

I pray right now for the peace of Jerusalem and all Israel!"

I hope that God will answer all of our prayers.

The Israelis have a great deal more restraint than the fundamentalist evangelical Protestants in America that support them, even in their own Operation Judenrien--about dealing with the Arabs. I for one would say: kill a dozen Palestinans for every Jewish person killed. Ever. That would take care of the palestinan problem.

Don't buldoze that mosque. Just do the opposite there to what the muslims did in Istanbul with Haiga Sophia (knock down all but one of the minarets though so it wouldn't be suitable as a mosque, and before cleaning it out and converting it, leave it awash in pig blood and fat....

I think that you and I agree on most things concerning these matters. I am now certain that I posted too hastily.

Please pardon!
