Driving home from Ventura yesterday (in KALLIFORNIA, I might add) and forgot to get gas. Ran out at the base of the Camarillo grade (not a great place to run out of gas). Managed to get off the freeway. We get out of the car realizing we had forgotten to get gas, and got a can out of the trunk. Looked around, nothing for MILES. Figured we would have to resort to cannibalism and was trying to position myself to knock the boyfriend over the head to avoid an ambush in the future when around the corner came a huge pick'em up truck. The guy driving and his passenger(never even got their names) are nascar workers. Had 50 gallons of fuel aboard his truck WITH a nozzle, etc. We were on the road within minutes. Before he left, he pointed at my Bush/Cheney sticker and said, "if this had been a Kerry sticker, I wouldn't even have looked over at you." So, Partner, if you're on here, and I can't imagine you aren't, Thanks.
Your tag say Daytona in 48 days, but EVERYONE knows the real race has always been the Daytona 200(Mar 10-13)!
Nothing like the high banks on 2 wheels, rear wheel spinning at over 180, while coming off turn 4.
Or from just 2 years back, no speed limit on pit road. 8-10 second pits, then back on the gas full throttle, through the infield!
Oh, darnit! Now I HAVE to have one!
Have you had any remarks about it from your neighbors???
Dang, that looks GOOD!!!
To paraphrase Don Meredith, "They're acknowledging that Bush is 'Number-1'."
That has to be one of the funniest nights I have EVER seen on TV.
Nice profile page. However, you should add the photo of Pres. Bush chatting with the National Guard car team from last year's Dayton race.
Yeah, I have to agree. (MNF, Houston getting blown out by the Raiders, I believe.) His was one of the all-time classic lines ever uttered on television.
Cosell: "Well, the clock on the wall runs out..."
Meredith: "That's the first break Houston has had all night."
When I see a Kerry/Edwards yard sign or bumper sticker, I pray for the occupants of the vehicle or home. Especially the children.
I have the I (heart) Haliburton on mine and i was called a nazi on the freeway once.
I once got a jump start because of my bush cheney in 2000 sticker! I seem to not mind it much when i get cut off from people with bush stickers on their car either for some reason.
Being in Seattle, I was not surprised to be "flipped off" and my son wasn't paying attention thankfully. What I found interesting, not surprising, was that a group of three young "ladies" at the Seattle Center were having a profanity laced conversation about how "anyone but Bush" would be a better president. It was as if the election never happened.
I didn't think I'd ever get it out of the package that it was shipped in.
No comment from the neighbors so far, but I did notice that their Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers are now gone.
LOL....well, that's one good reason to keep it up!
That's the trouble with my '04 Navigator--all I have on it is an '04 Bush sticker. If I still had my 2000 Navigator, it would have an '00 Bush sticker and the current '04 Bush sticker. The '04 Bush sticker willl stay on my present vehicle for as long as I have the vehicle.
MNF has never been the same since Howard and Dandy Don got the boot, retired, or whatever.
I don't want to be conciliatory ~ I still have two Bush/Cheney 2004 stickers on the back of my pickup ~ plus several pro-gun stickers.
I live in Eugene, Oregon and nothing gives me more plesure that to see the pained and puckered looks on the faces of liberal losers when they see them. :)
Schadenfreude!
I like it! :)
I salute you! I got the same pained and puckered look from people as I drove through Davis, CA, which is "Eugene, South".
