As I said, I've taken aspirin for years for ordinary arthritis. Taking it four times a day with food doesn't seem to bother me (since last spring). I'm not anticipating taking Remicade or any of the new RA drugs, they don't seem healthy to me--risk of fatal infection, TB, etc.

Don't laugh, but an article by Dr. Gott in the local paper had people claiming CERTO, the pectin used in jams and jelly helped. He said, may help, can't hurt.

Is it the protein that's bad, or is it the protein-producing inflammation that's bad?

I think the flaw in western medicine is to see our bodies as a bunch of separate parts --- maybe CRP levels have to do with your general health or lack of it --- if one part is suffering the rest are. If your bones or joints are inflammed, maybe other parts like the heart are also.

agree, funny how they fail to state that it is more than likely the steroids fed to the turkeys, chikens, cattle and pigs that harms our heart not the protein.

Clue #1 : It's all about balance in moderation. So simple

I believe that the stress caused by obsessing over one's cholosterol level...for instance...probably does more harm than the cholesterol.

Stress demonstrably does bad things to human bodies.

So I'm with you. All things in moderation, and don't worry, be happy.
