I read a post here somewhere that suggested Islam doesn't mean peace, but rather in the translation of the ME languages it means "submission". When I took my ME studies class a long time ago, I was told exactly this. This BS about islam meaning "peace" is a PC fantasy created after 9-11.
The goal of islam is to put you under its boot.

We need first of all to recognize that Islam is not a religion in the sense intended by the Founding Fathers. It is the world's oldest and most successful crime syndicate. Given the parallels with the Mafia (fatwa "contracts", the death penalty for leaving Islam, the collection of protection money, disregard for any rights of non-Muslims), it was probably the inspiration for the Italian Mafia.(Who says Islam has not influenced Western culture?).
It is absurd to talk about "moderates" reforming a crime syndicate. The only way to "reform" a crime syndicate is to obliterate it. Kill or imprison the leaders and their enforcers, and the others will be freed from the servitude that keeps them silent. The trappings of the "religion" (Mecca and Medina, all mosques and other "holy" places) would have to be removed- but we have the technology.
Ideally, we should use RICO to remove Islam from the US. The main thing standing in the way of that is the idea that we have Muslim "friends" in Iraq and Afghanistan. It will eventually have to be recognized that the WOT is the war on the crime syndicate. In the interim, we need to stop Muslim immigration and "encourage" American Muslims to emigrate to the Muslim paradises we are creating in the Middle East.

And our job is to put ourselves, briefly, under islams boot. At least until the owner of the boot returns to the earth after the most recent JDAM strike launched him. Then we can bury him boots and all....
The world needs more moderates like me.

The real mistake is in think that the silent muslim majority disagrees with the teachings in the koran.
To: rdb3
The silent muslim majority is actually saying quite a lot by their silence. They are silently nodding tacit approval to those who perform atricities under the blanket of Islam. They have spoken loud and clear as far as I am concerned.

I like that.
It speaks a thousand words.

There was supposed to be this big demonstration march against murder and terrorism by muslims in Oslo after the van Gogh murder. The leader of the islamic community in Norway created a minor scandal when he stated that he supported the murder, and stated when they (muslims in Norway) become the majority they will use democracy to introduce sharia.
Well, when the big march finally came, Virtually no one showed up. All the imams (except one weird afghan looking fellow) made a very public boycott of it stating that they did not intend to be bullied around by the Norwegian society.

Silent Muslim Majority ping.
For those that are ready to move on from the never-ending Border thread, here is an article begging for the Arab-Americans to speak out.
Should we hold our breath?
To: jan in Colorado
Jan:
Thanks for the ping!
As for the speaking out---they won't. But that doesn't men we cannot remind them that it is a very good idea for them to do so.
I have often said that muslims that failed to condemn the 9/11 attacks were thus condoning them. The same applies to other muslim atrocities as well.
I'm tired of the apologists that say we have to 'understand' islam. As one tagline here on FR states "All I needed to learn about islam I learned on 9/11"
Actully I had a very good understanding of islam prior to that, but 9/11 was the last lesson.

The problem is, we do "understand" Islam.
We don't want it here!
Period.

Why the "silent majority" are so silent:
A Muslim owes his or her primary allegiance to other Muslims and the ummah over that of non-believers.
By questioning some of the barbaric practices of Islamic
bigotry, gender and religious apartheid and barbarism in Muslims countries, they would have to question their own delusional belief system... Islam, the Quran (which Muslim believe should be followed to the letter as the exact words of their god) and the examples set by the genocidal mass murderer Muhammed (pork be upon him) which Muslims are supposed to follow.
Not only are the silent majority of Muslims to blame, there are plenty of clueless, non-Muslim, Islamic apologists around that will defend Islam, and its inherent bigotry to ensure Muslims are kept oppressed by Islam and remain its primary victims.

Hang in there sailor. The louder the apologists get, the more fired up I get. We have the Truth on our side.
USF, thanks for pointing out the bigotry of Islam. Isn't it interesting, that those of us that dare to question Islamic teachings, are quickly called unAmerican and bigots!

Isn't it interesting, that those of us that dare to question Islamic teachings, are quickly called unAmerican and bigots! Hey, can I be the first to call that as "Tactics of the Left" on this thread? ;o)
I guess if Hitler declared Fascism a state religion with Aryan priests and Jew burning ceremonies some clueless twits would call us "bigots" if we spoke out against this "religion."
It just highlights their own ignorance and hypocrisy for all to see...

Yes, USF, I see a lot of similarities between the Islamapologists and the liberal left.
They both are intent on destroying this Country, and surprisingly, using similar tactics.
