From the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress entry on Sheila Jackson-Lee:

a Representative from Texas; born in Queens, Queens County, N.Y., January 12, 1950

Great Scott! They still had slavery in New York as recently as 1950!

Great Scott!

That would be Dred Scott, wouldn't it?

She has been known to claim "we came to America in the belly of a slave ship."

She is the one who had a car and driver blocking traffic in front of her D.C. apt. to drive her two blocks to her office. Makes reservations with different airlines on same day so that she can take the flight convenient for her. She orders special food. "Do you know who I am?" girl.

She is delusional--thinks she's important.
