As heard on the Rush Limbaugh show last week, we've learned from Sec. Powell's remarks that the first person the President of Thailand heard from was George W. Bush. Some press nimrod made note that we hadn't heard a press release about that.
There you have it: INSIDER SYNDROME. Too lazy to do the leg work, the press assumed (in the full meaning of the word, thank you Felix Unger) that since GWB didn't call a press conference to tout his action, as we'd expect from the normal politician, that nothing happened. Series, the press dood was bemoaning that there wasn't a press release and he got tripped up. Unbelievable. Well, GWB was too busy acting on the problem to worry about taking credit. How refreshing and how understandable that once again Old Media misunderestimates GWB.

DUmmies will be mourning the stupid Americans who approve of him acting efficiently rather than following Koffi in sheeplike fashion. DUmmies like collectivism, and disdain someone who sees a problem and acts rather than waiting for orders from the first among equals at the UN.

The AP-Ipsos poll conducted 3-5 Jan shows George W. Bush's overall job approval at 49%. There is a real possibility that he will make history and be inaugurated with a majority of the population in disapproval. The sad fact is that he is fundamentally disliked by a LOT of people, and his response (or lack thereof) to the tsunami won't even show up as noise in the poll numbers.

Apparently, the pollees want a president who's slow to give away our money.
Send Jan "Lutefisk" Egeland back to Norway. My approval has gone down, because this guy is still here to insult us and enjoying all the perks of being a UN thief in NYC. Kick him OUT.
I DO NOT approve of his job performance when it came to throwing $350 million of our money down the Tsunami shakedown rathole. Disgusting.
Press complained about the Prez' non-speechifying because the White House press corps was mad they didn't get face time. They want a drama---the Prez wants action. Thus the disconnect.
