From Sunday - may be a repost
Members of ceremonial guard units from the four branches of the military take positions inside the Capitol as they practice for President Bush 's second inauguration
Thats the one I cannot see
"First lady Laura Bush's new puppy, Miss Beazley enjoys some fresh air in her pen on the South Lawn of the White House, Monday, as President Bush 's dog Barney, front, stays nearby."
Dog experts, please interpret! Why is Barney outside and Miss Beazley inside the fencing?
She knows you deep down, snugs, I'm sure of it. Even if she can't place you exactly, or remember your name, she knows you are someone who takes care of her and loves her. And she loves you, even if she cannot express it.
I can see them. :-)
Think of it as a playpen...I think she likes to wander and get into mischief..
That's all the photos I have (or, in some cases, dratted Red X boxes).
If you see the little square with the red X, right-click on it and select "show photo." That might help. Otherwise try refreshing the page.
Here's a bit of interesting news. I have a good friend whose daughter goes to Auburn. She took her daughter back to school this weekend, and in the girls dorm she was amazed to see a lot of doors with pictures of the President and signs like "Go, W!"
Seems like the younger generation has good taste!
I get that feeling which is strange.
Another testimony to the two President Bush's.
Chess, not checkers, and all-around good Christian men.
I don't know how much I believe Newsweek's story about how Clinton and our Dubya are "warming up" to each other. Sounds more like a little background given to Newsweek by none other than Billy Jeff himself to try to help improve his own image.
Tried that because that worked a few nights ago when we had that problem before but it does not help tonight.
I also keep refreshing the page but no is this a dial up versus broadband issue - any suggestions.
Miss B. probably also would interfere with Barney's exercise period. He likes to chase balls and such, and she would be in the way at this stage in her life. So putting her in her own exercise pen makes sense. Those types of temporary pens are essential to anyone who shows more than one dog at a time.
I'm in the middle of Nebraska and watching the weather right now to see if we will get any of what you're having. Light freezing drizzle the next two days . . .YUK! The only two days I have plans to do anything out of town. Clear the rest of the week.
I don't know hwy you can't see them. I can see all just fine so far.
Thanks for the photos and news items, Gretchen. Excellent dose.
She looks like she wants out of that kennel!
Is it still snowing and cold your way?

Dan Rather: 'Our Long National Nightmare is Over'
by Scott Ott
(2005-01-10) -- Veteran CBS News anchor Dan Rather greeted today's release of the 224-page report on the 60 Minutes 'memogate' scandal by saying, "Our long national nightmare is over. Now is the time, in fact, it is past time to move on."
The report showed that Mr. Rather, and at least four colleagues, suffered from a condition called 'myopic zeal,' which is apparently terminal in four-out-of-five cases.
"Usually, the buck stops here," said Mr. Rather. "But in this case, the buck stopped over there. So, now I return to the seat of trust, behind the desk of integrity at CBS."
After his retirement from the CBS Evening News in March, Mr. Rather said he may pursue doing commercial endorsements.
"My agent has already been contacted by Dupont," he said, "about a series of educational TV spots on the benefits of Teflon."
Good evening Miss Marple
