It's great for illegals, and horrible for American citizens and legal immigrants. Why have legal channels if we are going to leave the borders open for illegals?

In Teddy's terms we will all look like fat slobs that he is.

This is going to be her big issue in 2008, if the GOP were smart they would tie medicare in to SS reform because medical care is the elephant in the room why SS will go bankrupt by 2020. It's not like we have money set aside for SS, it will have to stolen from other programs. I can't believe how dumb the GOP is for not tieing them together.
To: B4Ranch
So that makes it OK?
Why don't we try to take the free health care away from the illegals?
You'd rather destroy the entire system?

Why isn't it good for American citizens too
Because it's not. That's the first thing that pops into my head.

I am TOTALLY AGAINST MORE GOVERNMENT but when you shuck out several hundred in Medicare taxes for the oldsters to have easy health care and still are shucking out over $600 a month for a spouse and one child, the envy sets in you know, and geesh....maybe national health care wouldn't be such a bad thing...
its not like anybody gave a damn when the great corporate America ditched my husbands benefits for his family plus his duely earned pension and retirement health benefits...nope, not one card or letter about that...
we live in two Americas...those that get the great health care for almost nothing...and those of us who have been victims of corporate greed and are not on the govt dole.....
maybe its time we should be.....

Normally at the age of 65 except in very special exemptions
Such as being under the age of 62 and having
Lou Gehrig's disease.
I Went to the Medicare website just to make sure.
Teddy wants everyone irregardless of the age to be eligible

Now that is a question that you need to ask President Bush because he is the one who is leaving the borders open and restricting just where the ICE agents are allowed to operate in their quest for law enforcement.
Perhaps sinkspur; Cultural Jihad; nuconvert; followerofchrist; Luis Gonzales; Chemist_Geek; Valin; can give you an answer as to why this is a great idea.
FReepers get all pissed off when the Democrats try to do something that our REPUBLICAN President is enabling and assisting them to do.
I got stomped on and flamed for months because I tried to awaken FReepers to these problem for the last four years, now that Hillary is being 'compassionate' she is doing wrong.
When in the hell are you people going to see that her 'compassionate' ideas are not any different than what the REPUBLICAN administration is pushing?
You get down on bended knee if the idea comes out of a republicans mouth but stand and scream when a democrat says the same thing.
If the American voter doesn't see that BOTH PARTIES are headed for the same goal line real soon this country is going to be a goner.

We in Tennessee have Medicare for the masses it's called TennCare
and is bankrupting our state
Socialized medicine inevitably leads to rationing and the outright denial of medical care in order to keep costs down.
To: Brainhose
Anyone surprised? You shouldn't be. This has been their little plan all along.
And it's usually phrased in such a way as it would be a medical "gift" from the government.
What they don't say is that they would TAKE AWAY your current health plans first.
Collectivism, n'est ce pas?

>>Why isn't it good for American citizens too

And why is not? Because one group are citizens and the other aren't or is it because it comes from a EVIL DEMOCRATS mouth?
Now of course the citizens shouldn't have to need assistance of any kind while the illegal aliens do. That's what makes it right for the illegals.
Now when an EVIL DEMOCRAT comes out with the idea, us lifelong Republicans automatically think negative, don't we?
I am fed up with watching our money being given to foreigners and not to our next door neighbor who is a citizen and probably a VET!
