Graner is charged with being the ringleader of a band of rogue American soldiers who forced Middle Eastern terrorists to commit humiliating acts in an effort to extract information regarding terrorist activity. Al-Sheikh is a Syrian terrorist who was captured while committing acts of terror against the Iraqi people and acts of aggression against the allies in Iraq. He is currently being detained at the Abu Ghraib prison, a facility that, until the liberation of Iraq, incarcerated political prisoners. Today it houses terrorists.
My words today are not in complete defense of Spc. Graner. If laws were broken and orders usurped then a fair and just punishment should be administered. Unlike the civilian court system that is routinely manipulated by the semantics of high-priced lawyers and the legislation of activist judges – a mockery of what our legal system was intended to be – the military justice system tends to be more equitable in its proceedings and more rigid in its punishment. What makes Spc. Garner’s case different from the military norm is that the mainstream media has mandated that the bastardized version of our civilian system be injected into our military system of justice. . . . .

Personally, I don't understand what the big fuss is about, these are TERRORISTS and if let free they would behead each and every single American soldier they could get their hands on, I don't think we should be a$$ kissing, if Saddam were still in power do you think he would treat our prisoners with respect and dignity? Hell a pair of panties on a prisoners head is hardly a war crime or anything else for that matter.

We're old enough to have read the entire article. He was caught in the act and therefore known to be guilty. If you were as enlightened as you believe you are, you would have been able to glom that too.
I will make one correction to the article though : Abu Graib contains both terrorists and more mundane violent criminals, like multiple rapist/murderers and the like.
As for your little lure to get us lowbrowed yankees to claim all of Sweden is a terrorist state. THIS American refuses. If you're so stupid you believe that one innocent man makes the entire population guilty, you obviously expect us to assume that one admission of guilt by one Swede means all Swedes are terrorist sympathizers. Pay attention to your own state and stop obssessing on the internal affairs of the United States. It's a sign of an unbalanced mind grasping at straws to avoid confronting personal problems
As it happens, our soldiers actually know Afghan farmers personally. It is their job to protect them, and in cases where the attackers hide among them, it is their job to distinguish between the farmer and his Taliban cousin.
Actually, our guys do a pretty good job of it.
As for the farmer whose farm was looted, that is exactly what happened under Taliban rule. Actually, there are cases of mass murder committed by Taliban troops, and under their rule there was no hope of a normal life, you earned your living by the gun, as a militiaman for one war lord or another.
Those days are over now, thanks to the US and its allies. No thanks to the countries that sat on the side lines and did nothing.
When you are at war, you find out very quickly which countries are your friends, and which ones are not. Your friends are the ones still standing next to you while the bullets fly. They are the ones in the field, sharing the risks. Their opinions matter. The others are not your friends, and their opinions don't matter.
Oh please. Destroyed economically? These guys were living with Osama's people in Afghanistan who were making their "economic way" by stealing and harassing and killing Afghanis.
