"Never said he was, except by association. The team is getting more and more thuggish, though, and he isn't stepping up to call folks like Moss out and have them clean up their act."

I can only imagine what Bud (Stone Face) Grant would've done with Randy Moss.

"Philly is a pathetic hellhole. Unfortunately, the cradle of America has become home to miscreants and poofers."

pathetic little hellhole? i am sick of this crap. i would expect freepers would be skeptical of the media's bs they spit out about the perception of our town. do you really think we are any worse than new york, boston, detroit, cleveland, oakland (remeber the bullpen brawl?), or any other town outside st louis? go ahead and believe all that crap you hear spat out from the national media about our town. i guess we re all nothing but battery throwing, santa claus snowball tossing, mcnabb booing morons. yeah we have .0001% of the fan base that gets carried away but is that any different then any other town? if you would look past that you would see a city that has passion for their sports teams who would have been there through the ups and downs (mostly downs).

hellhole? yeah we have our fair share of liberals here in philadelphia but theres a whole hell of a lot of us conservatives in this region as well. youre painting us with a broad brush here and its sad. where you at any of the games where governor rendell walked out mid game at a phillies game to wave at the crowd and got booed in his own city? how bout when mayor street had to stop speaking he was booed so loudly at a phillies game. yeah, we re all just idiot liberals. i really expect more from freepers then this.

I've been to a few games at Texas stadium, and have never seen anything but good natured ribbing to fans wearing opposing attire.

Philly is a craphole. I made the mistake of stepping outside of a downtown establishment one night to take a phone call. I didn't realize that it was a foolish thing to do.

Silly me.

And my distinct memories of the Philly fans cheering as Michael Irvin lay motionless on the field. Yup, real class there.

Relax. I live in Seattle. It's in the same league as philly. Lotsa, liberals, miscreants and poofers. That said, Most major cities suffer the same problems. Still I love the great NW, just as you like the Philly area. But its sad, knowing the great history of your city.

And for Pete's sake, get your leaders to quit advertising it as a homo haven!!

Cheers.

Go Atlanta.

You will see true humiliation of a one dimensional quarterback. Put your hopes on new England. Maybe.

In a way, I regret posting this. Certain reputations are hard to overcome once they gain their own inertia. I have perpetuated it now to some degree. Even at Lambeau, where every seat is a season ticket and management will revoke your rights for misbehavior, fans can get unruly. I was so proud of them, though when Darius was thrown out for clothesling Ferguson, because they threw nothing but boos at him. Even the announcers made the observation.

As for your Eagles...good luck. Vick is older and smarter...and oh so dangerous.

You may recall that back in the mid-90's, the Pack was pretty good. Dallas was too, but they had an unusual ability to beat the Pack there. But their fans were ALWAYS gracious and spoke so admiringly of the Packers organization. Truly left an impression on me.

I have never been to a sporting event in Philly...but have gone to Steeler games in Cleveland, Buffalo and Cincy (obviously easier to get tix out of town than in the Burgh). We have never had any sort of major problem...the neat part being there always seems to thousands of our bretheren there as well (and I would never wave my Towel unless I was in large group of fellow Steeler fans).

Sadly, I have yet to attend an NFL game at Heinz Field...so I really can't comment on the crowds' treatment of visiting fans.

I can only imagine what Bud (Stone Face) Grant would've done with Randy Moss.

How true. How about Tom Landry, or Coach Lombardi?

They would NOT have stifled him, however they would have channeled that anger and energy towards enhancing rather than detracting from his talent.

Are you a liar as well as an idiot?
Sorry , I meant 1986, but I guess a "tough" eagles fan like you have never made a tyoing error. Gee you make yourself seem like such an ASS!

Then we have the Cheering while Michael Irvin was being carted off the field

translation: jeering deion sanders's "look at me" witch-doctor dance around him

So you are a liar as well, they were clearly cheering that Irvin was down, as the cheers were louder when the cart came out. But I guess a philty is unfamiliar with the truth.

as opposed to the giants and jets fans, whoi boo their selection every year. (not to mention the 30 philly fans were upset simply that mcnabb was NOT ricky williams)

So you are telling me the hundreds, if not thousands,of calls to WIP saying this was a wasted pick were not the feelings of the Eagles fans? If you say no then you are a liar again.

Lastly , lets not forget that Philly had to have Judge Shamus on site in order to quell the stupidity of the Eagles fans

oh yeah - those 82 passing yards have me shaking in my baby booties.

I would think the 47 points would give you more concern.

You ARE baseless in your Philly bashing.

Stupid for anyone here to lump fans together.
