It'd be nice to catch these 4, and get some info out of them.

Sure would be. I was wondering, though....how, exactly, did this Mexican manager to get/have/take pics of these people? They look like passport photos.

FOX talking about this again now. Just said that "FOX told that, even though uncorroborated, their steps are appropriate."

Some of the people who traffic in illegals run phony passport places, and some take pics of the people they transport.
If they go down, they don't go down alone.

I take the New London - Orient Point ferry quite often. I can assure you they do not check anything!

They should though.

"Yeah, it goes down to Jacksonville, as well. We're kinda sweating the super bowl thing."

No doubt. I live about 9 miles from Alltel Stadium. A dirty bomb ignition would surely booger up the already botched auto traffic patterns around here (wry grin).

Will be definitely keeping my eyes open for these yayhoos.

Stay safe Dixie Pirate

I give terrorists too much credit?

You mean the people who planned and carried out the 911 attacks were not very cunning?

They learned how to fly a jetliner. They can learn to sail a boat, too.

And they wouldn't need that big a boat: 50 feet or so should be plenty big.

They got a bunch of hits against a somnabulent US

Personally, I feel extremely fortunate that this threat IS being taken seriously by our various security and law enforcement agencies. Cross border terrorism from either Mexico or Canada is a very real, present and I stress CONTINUING danger.

I hope our law enforcement remains vigilant even after the inauguration, until clear cut answers to this threat have been found. I hope we don't panic and remain vigilant.

However, I hope I - along with the REST of us - don't feel extremely UNfortunate if this turns out to be a hoax by well meaning border obsessors desperately trying to get our government to tighten up border security.

IF this were the case, it would terribly DAMAGE our ability to ever succeed at (mostly in the courts, where efforts to tighten the borders currently languish) actually closing the holes in said borders.

I hope that the government will agree with me that the cases of any such well meaning persons, if caught, include serious consideration of their very valid concerns, thus avoiding large law books being dumped, tsunami-like, upon them.

I repeat: Is it possible? Yes. Is it practical? I don't think so.

If five years ago someone said that terrorists might learn to fly and then wth box cutters hijack four planes to crash into skyscrapers and the Pentagon . . .

Might you have said, "Is it possible? Yes. Is it practical? I don't think so."?

I don't think so either TBall. My original response was to a freeper that posted that China should be blown off the map if they sent these people to America.

The following is interesting. Violent Separatism in Xinjiang: A Critical Assessment

In the relative openness of the 1980s, several incidents in Xinjiang unsettled Chinese leaders. Yet these too were varied in origin, organization, and outlook, consisting of demonstrations sparked by police heavy-handedness leading to rioting and shouting of anti-Chinese and Islamic slogans, on the one hand, and student demonstrations on the other. The demonstrations greatly resembled the prodemocracy student marches then common throughout China, except that the Xinjiang students, including Chinese Muslims (Hui) as well as Uyghurs, voiced concerns relating to ethnic matters.

Since the 1990s, concerns about Uyghur separatism have received increasing official and media attention. These concerns have heightened since the events of 9-11 with the advent of a more robust U.S. presence in Central Asia and Chinese attempts to link Uyghur separatism to international jihadist groups. A steady flow of reports from the international media—as well as official PRC releases (a document on "East Turkistan" terrorism, a white paper on Xinjiang, and a list of terrorist groups)—have given the impression of an imminent separatist and terrorist crisis in the Xinjiang region. This study surveys open sources as well as less easily accessible Chinese documents on violent separatist and terrorist events and groups. Although the catalog of incidents seems to indicate the existence of an organized, unified, and violent Uyghur movement, careful scrutiny reveals problems with the evidence presented in both media and official sources. In fact, both the frequency and severity of violent incidents in Xinjiang have declined since 1997-98, possibly because of Chinese efforts at interdiction. While it is not negligible, the current threat of organized Uyghur separatism and particularly of terrorist attacks on civilian targets seems less serious than claimed in official and media reports.

Rick, are these a part of the Chinese we attempted to convince the Survival Ring, could enter the United States
from the Mexican border? Back in 2000/2001.

We were nuts to even consider the thought of Chinese crossing the Mexican border.

Now we have photos of them in this link.

Yes, I think they came across the Mexican border in Arizona or in California.

Aren't some Chinese nuclear test and disposal sites located in western China?

Is there a point in there somewhere?

OK, so you wouldn't respond if it was just Boston.

so tell us, how many US cities are you willing to see sprayed with radioactive waste before you'd be willing to consider a response? Three, maybe four, or until it got to where you live? Mecca makes little sense, but there are plenty of strategic targets in several countries that do.

One of the most violent AQ Muslim rebellions is in western China. The Muzzies control the roads at night and have been known to take on large detachments of PLA and maul them.

The Chinese have just about every secret rocket, space and nuke project in those provinces. Not a comforting thought.

"Sure would be. I was wondering, though....how, exactly, did this Mexican manager to get/have/take pics of these people? They look like passport photos."

I'm wondering if the person who reported this, including the pictures, isn't part of the plan. Perhaps this person was supposed to be the one to give the information to our authorities in order to send them on a wild-goose chase after these 4 people who may or may not even exist. I can't remember now which thread I read this on, but someone had mentioned an Islamic website saying something about when they chase the horses, the bird will fly. Perhaps these 4 people are the horses, and we'd better be concerned about the bird.
