That is JUST the story I was thinking about!

I posted several years ago that I thought it was odd that so many young Chinese were in this country. What totalitarian regime has ever allowed their people to leave?

I am not talking about students. I am talking about the large number of young Chinese working as tailors at a catalogue company I worked for in central Indiana. They would all arrive together and kept to themselves.

And why are there suddenly Chinese restaurants everywhere. I am not being funny about this...in my suburban area there used to be two Chinese restaurants. Ten years later, there are 17.

One restaurant is run by guy who was educated in China as a doctor.

I suppose I will be required to don my tin foil hat again, but I am talking about central Indiana, which has had a VERY small Chinese population until about 10 years ago.

The Chinese send their young people out into the free world to learn how to be capitalists. First they sent their best and brightest to graduate schools and into top jobs in industry, now it is lower level entrepreneurs. These young people are not really free and are expected to repay their families and country for the privileges they have been granted, one way or another. I was told this by a young Chinese maritime lawyer that I sat next to at a dinner.

Chinese?

More likely Koreans.

Read the book "Spetsnaz" and then, imagine the same thing with the PLA. Except, unlike Ruskis, who would have been practicing their American English accents and trying to blend in, in this case, due to the already existing substantial group of non assimilating Chinese, the PLA's version can be far more obvious. Major caveat - there are many truly innocent immigrants from the PRC, who have nothing to do with the Communists, PLA or ErBu. So, my advice is to not get carried away here.

Many are here illegally.

With masses of population, China doesn't seem to care any longer how many leave. Besides, they arrogantly figure that Chinese everywhere are more loyal to the Motherland than to their adopted countries.

On that score, they will be greatly surprised come hostilities, at how many are not.

I don't doubt, however, that many ARE SETTING UP SLEEPER CELLS to be complicit when China invades. We shall see what happens.

I understand what you mean. An incredible increase in Chinese restaurants has occurred in this area, too--thankfully, personally. I just wish they were fairer to their workers.
