I often wish that I could get into Mr. Peabody's and his pet boy Sherman's "Wayback Machine" and take a look at this stuff myself.

The study of evolution is like examining a crime scene that's 4.5 million years old (and often much older). It's not easy.

Evolution? Please. This is an ape, just an ape.

Or is it a man, just a man? I forgot which excuse they're using this week.

It'll depend which creationist classification expert you ask.

Sarah Brightman -- I don't know how to love him

I don't know how to love him,
What to do, how to move him.
I've been changed, yes, really changed.
In these past few days when I've seen myself
I seem like someone else.

I don't know how to take this
I don't see why he moves me.
He's a man, he's just a man.
And I've had so many men before
In very many ways:
He's just one more

Should I bring him down? Should I scream and shout?
Should I speak of love - let my feelings out?
I never thought I'd come to this - what's it all about?

Don't you think it's rather funny
I should be in this position?
I'm the one who's always been
So calm, so cool, no lover's fool
Running every show
He scares me so.

I never thought I'd come to this - what's it all about

Yet, if he said he loved me
I'd be lost, I'd be frightened.
I couldn't cope, just couldn't cope.
I'd turn my head, I'd back away,
I wouldn't want to know -
He scares me so.
I want him so.
I love him so.

Music: Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Lyrics: Tim Rice.
Show: "Jesus Christ superstar" (concept album 1970, first performed 1971).

Scientists say features of a phalanx, or foot bone, unearthed at the site show the hominid it belonged to probably walked upright like a human.

"It is a very important finding because it does confirm hominids walked upright on two feet definitely 4.5 million years ago," said lead author Sileshi Semaw, of the Craft Stone Age Institute at Indiana University in Bloomington, US.

Hmmm. Call me unconvinced.

I think they meant 4.3 thousand years since the Earth is only 6000 years old

Since carbon dating is only accurate to (supposedly) 50,000 years, 4.5 million is really just a guess, influenced by the prospect of notoriety.

http://www.asa3.org/ASA/resources/Wiens.html

There are over 40 methods of dating. C-14 is more of an archeological tool than a paleontological one, because the other methods (K-Ar, Ar-Ar, uranium-lead etc.) are used to date back to millions of years.

I think the dating may be a "guess" but it is a very educated guess.

Not really hmmm statements. Saying something probably walked like a human and saying something has been confirmed to walk on 2 feet is not a contradiction. Follow the logic: You can walk on 2 feet yet not walk like a human. All they are saying is that they definetly walked on 2 feet and most likely walked much like we do. Nice try though!

… Earth is only 6000 years old and all the dino bones have been place in chronological order in the strata by God to fool us…

Who says He doesn’t have a sense of humor! All those practical jokes just waiting to be discovered.

You might wish to update your knowledge of science - but I doubt it.
