Washington Post 8/21/04
"Although Kerry campaign officials insist that they have published
Kerry's full military records on their Web site
(with the exception of medical records shown briefly to reporters earlier this year),
they have not permitted independent access to his original Navy records.
A Freedom of Information Act request by The Post for Kerry's records produced six pages of information.
A spokesman for the Navy Personnel Command, Mike McClellan,
said he was not authorized to release the full file, which consists of at least a hundred pages. "
Did you?
Does it make a difference?
BTTT!!!!!!
Kerry who?
I think his point is if his angst becomes your angst, and your angst becomes my angst and so on, and so on.... We might actually get somewhere.
We need to make this issue the new multi-level marketing item du jour of politics. If you tell 10 people, and they each tell 10 people the word will get out.
That was the best explanation yet. Just because JF'nK lost the election he should get a pass? I don't think so.
Kerry is not going to win the nomination in 08 and even if he does, it will be a blessing for Republicans.
How about we concentrate on the here and now? We have A LOT of work to do in the Senate. We need to get this obstructionist party back on the fences.
He cost lives....the VN war would have ended sooner, but the communists held on because they determined they could achieve a political victory even after losing on the battlefield, because of people like Cronkite and sKerry..I don't know how many American deaths could have been saved, let alone the number of people executed when the communists invaded the south.
It's possible the communist regime of Pol Pot in Cambodia would have killed less of their citizens had there been a haven for them to run to.
sKerry needs to answer for his transgressions.
From my profile
I CAN NOT, I WILL NOT FORGET
I, for one, will beat this horse till his bones turn to dust.
I owe it to my brothers
You are absolutely correct!
Unfortunately, the majority of the "right wing talkin' heads" never pulled on a pair of combat boots in Nam and could really care less. Brit Hume(a close personal friend of Kerry's never even went to Nam and I don't believe was even in the armed services) Fred Barnes was in the Army but I don't believe he went to Nam either. That's why folks like you and I are here to keep their "feet to the fire!"
Semper Fi,
Kelly
It's called the incumbent protection racket.
So did Johnson, Nixon, et al. Continuing a war against Kerry is a waste of time and only encourages the Democrats to get stupider. That war is done. Over. Completed. Finished.
What is it you want?
"We need to get this obstructionist party back on the fences."
I agree, but do think Kerry has a shot at the nomination in '08, judging by what we're seeing from the Democrats. They are doing a great job putting themselves on the fences.....but they need more help from the republicans.
All that aside, Kerry still needs to be dealt with and exposed for the fraud he is. Here and now, he is still dogging the president at every move, with the democrats backing him up all the way.
Just because Kerry has been allowed to get away with taking tax money for so long does not mean that finally getting rid of him would be a waste of time. There are at least four major reasons to expose him that I can think of:
1. Thousands of soldiers deserve the comfort of knowing that the public finally has the truth about this traitor.
2. A traitor cannot hold the office of Senator, and as such he should never have been allowed to make a dime off of a government job.
3. He might run again.
4. He is one of the most liberal Senators, and needs to be taken out of the Senate for that reason alone. How dare he vote against Dr. Rice. Oh, but democrats love black people really, just not Condi or Judge Thomas or Colin Powell or J.C. Watts or any other successful black person.
Justice
Why should vets, esp. Vietnam vets "get over it?"
I, personally, think John Kerrey is a dangerous person. He is so ambious and dishonest -- I would put nothing past him for the opportunity to achieve greatness in his eyes.
That's why the voting public SHOULD be allowed to see his military records and to see if our Government gave him a less than honorable discharge and why. And then, if so, how was he able to get it changed to an honorable discharge, through hook or crook? It is that "hook or crook" that would be most telling and would alert the public as to core of John Kerrey.
Although I believe him to be a traitor and anti-American, his military records won't prove THAT -- but it might prevent him from further political aspirations.
Senator Kerry:
JUST DO IT
To make sure he is never again able to do what he did to American soldiers during war. That he is not able to shame nor ruin the morale of soldiers or vets. To ensure he can't cause harm nor hinder release to POW's, or information about POW's. To stop him from lying and using the "government" powers to achieve an "agenda"; especially in swaying public opinion.
Justice and revenge.
