Oh, please. I am 52 years old and lived through the events. The difference between you and me is that I am not going to waste time beating a dead horse, no matter how much I dislike the horse.
So, since your 52, you know what the left did to the USA in the 60's and 70's.
Shame on YOU!
I don't think it's a waste of time if you fight for something in which you believe strongly.
Then why even read this thread?
Just because Mass. doesn't pursue their criminals doesn't mean that we should give them a pass. There is no statute of limitations for murder and war crimes.
He cost lives....the VN war would have ended sooner, but the communists held on because they determined they could achieve a political victory even after losing on the battlefield, because of people like Cronkite and sKerry..I don't know how many American deaths could have been saved, let alone the number of people executed when the communists invaded the south.
It's possible the communist regime of Pol Pot in Cambodia would have killed less of their citizens had there been a haven for them to run to.
sKerry needs to answer for his transgressions.
From my profile
I CAN NOT, I WILL NOT FORGET
I, for one, will beat this horse till his bones turn to dust.
I owe it to my brothers
You may have "lived through the events", but you sure weren't paying attention!
So you are 52 and had a brother in Nam. Your brother isn't talking about it. He has that right. You don't get to speak for your brother, for, as you say, you do not know his feelings.
Perhaps you should ask him.
You just might have a chance to get closer to him and as an added benefit you may learn the truth of what it is that is being discused here.
Kerry is a coward, traitor and a liar. He holds an important seat in our government, a seat that could be occupied by a truthful and patriotic citizen. We should help that one citizen gain access to a level of service to our country which Kerry will never attain.
I stand with Tonkin and all the rest against Kerry and will continue to do my part in "beating the dead horse" and seeing him removed from office.
Why?
Because it's the right thing to do.
BTW: I am a 51 year old man who has a brother who fought the NVN, came home and did talk about it.
