Let them get away with this, they'll move on to the next level. Pretty soon they're censoring anything they don't like with any tactic they wish to use...

I'll never understand why these people move to other countries and act this way. I've read of stories where women tourists get harassed for having short sleeves.

They aren't offended by the display of flesh. They are offended by the fact they have no freedom of conscience. Their's is not a 'religion' of free will. They want to draw everyone else into their dark hole of Islamic hell.

Virgin Air Cargo runs the best ads in the world. Women in lingerie straddling cargo. Of course, they run these in trade publications with a largely male readership.

Isn't the presence of Muslims a great thing??? ...and they really target the LIBERAL, SOCIALIST governments for immigration, then they use the liberal leverage to attempt to change the rules ...just look at France too. They have much more than just a simple problem to deal with...but Chirac deserves everything he gets, PLUS.

How is Muslims Against Advertising called MAAD? Am I missing a word??? Also do they not "get" that a Muslim group with the acronym MAAD is kinda funny?
To: quidnunc
For once, I sympathize with the Muslims. Now if they would just start burning down adult bookstores ...

"An advert for hair dye, which showed a woman peering into her bikini bottoms, was painted over by Muslims in Luton. A spokesman said the poster would be extremely offensive to a Muslim man if he passed it on his way to prayers." Does this mean we should cowtow to the offended...as long as they're in the PC right?
It must really s#ck to be British...right now..

Really!
Lots of folks in America adhere to religious dress-codes and find these displays as obnoxious as do the Moslems.
In this age of AIDS and other deadly STDs, it may be that we will all have to join these folks in banning these needless displays.

They took more than one letter from advertising, as in Muslims Against ADvertising. Or they just suck. Either theory is plausible.

I wonder if it would be offensive if he was walking by and not on his way to prayers... ??

It is only a small step from banning racy billboards to banning all criticism of religion even when that religion advocates the destruction of America's way of life.

There are plenty of Islamic countries to live in. If you do not like our culture do not come here.

If anyone can find a image of the offensive ads, please post.

Not really ~ there's a substantial difference between banning religious speech and banning pornography, even light porn.
