Muslim Group Targets Poster Nudity (Britain's slide into dhimmitude continues apace)

Activists are getting bolder in a campaign of vandalising adverts that display naked flesh

Billboard adverts featuring partial nudity are being defaced by Muslim activists who are offended by displays of flesh.

The advertising watchdog has confirmed that increasing numbers of posters are being torn down or painted over in predominantly Islamic areas.

A website giving advice on how to vandalise billboards and listing potential targets has been set up by a group calling themselves Muslims Against Advertising (MAAD).

The campaign has gathered momentum since the Advertising Standards Authority banned an underwear advert from being sited near mosques.

Advertisements for perfume, hair dye, bras and television programmes are among those that have been attacked. Photographs of semi-dressed women are the most frequently targeted, with the offending body parts painted over or ripped off.

A poster advertising the Channel 4 programme Desperate Housewives is the most recent target; the images of two scantily-clad actresses have been torn from an East London billboard but three fully-dressed characters were left intact. Adverts bearing Dove’s “Real Women” adverts — six ordinary women pictured in their underwear — were painted over at several locations last year.

MAAD, based in Birmingham, gives an index of defaced adverts in the city, including Levi’s, Wonderbra, PaddyPower, a radio station and a strip club. It says on its website that it believes in “direct action” and “has paint and isn’t afraid to use it”, adding: “There is no longer any need to cringe as you walk past a sleazy poster, we’ll improve it.”

I'll never understand why these people move to other countries and act this way.

Seriously?

OK, here it is.

The koran instructs to convert or kill. There can be no 'peace' (from the satanic muslim perspective) unless a country is dominated by muslims.

The end goal is to have the entire world at 'peace' by having all countries become muslim. Once the world is at 'peace' allah will give great rewards.

Recapping...

They act this way a) because they are instructed to by the satanic koran, b) they want to conquer the world to bring about the final 'peace'.

Here is a visual aid (flag of muslim terror's origin and giver of the 9/11 hijackers, satanic saudi arabia) to assist:

Either you covert by reciting the shahada "there is no god but allah..." or you get the sword.

I have yet to see ordinary "speech" elicit arousal. What about you?

Are you then defining "porn" as anything inciting arousal?

can you actuall be as dumb as you write, or is that just the islamakazi apologist in you, breaking forth in fury upon the infidels?

When you say "commercial use", do you mean, using sex to sell products?
Sorry, but it's done all too much for my taste already.
I vote on this issue with my wallet. If an advertisement is offensive to me, I don't buy the product offered.
That is called capitalism.

Why? I'd rather men be able to partake in what men do legally then illegally. I believe prostitution should be legal. By the way, I'm a woman.

you forget.
these slammy apologists actually think there is a force in women's hair that drives men to do evil things... hence the need to cover the head.

can such folks be 'reeducated'? Or do we just have to lock them all up for expressing their 'faith' and defacing other people's property?

Wasn't Muawiyah an Islamic caliph known for his brutality?

Is this why youj're trying to defend the Muslim point of view?

Islam is the only religion that not only allows conversion by the sword, but actually requires it.

"...do we just have to lock them all up for expressing their 'faith' and defacing other people's property? "

I thought that was called "vandalism". What, we can't prosecute that if they're muslim?

it may be that we will all have to join these folks in banning these needless displays.

It is amazing to see some claim the right to not be offended and others claim the offended have no right to be. It's a confused world.

Roughly, it's anything that elicits prurient interest or displays pudenda, and that's pretty much a cultural standard with some variation around the world.

Commercial speech is a different story ~ all the arguments there revolve around the idea of "truth". I do not necessarily agree with the idea that you need the government's jackbooted thugs enforcing it prior to harm however.

Folks debating the utility of pornography in commercial settings probably ought to review the last half dozen Supreme Court decisions on the matter. Just looking at the postings made in this thread, I think all too many folks have no idea what the state of the law is at this time.

Good for you ~ glad to hear you don't spend your money on merchandise peddled by smut merchants. On the other hand, do you think these techniques are suitible for children?

Or, possibly, do you think children have an inalienable right to look at all the dirty pictures they wish?

I think they should be prosecuted, locked up and expelled as much as possible. Whoever is caught should be made an example of, in unmistakeable terms. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

I am supportive of locking them all up, like we did certain nationalities during WW2. I trust NONE of the muslim so-called religion. And their apologists around here, even less.

It is only a small step from banning racy billboards to banning all criticism of religion — even when that religion advocates the destruction of America's way of life.

I don't believe there has been an historic right to indecency. As Francis Schaeffer rightly pointed out, free speech and filthy speech are two different things. "Free speech" has never meant that anything goes; if it were so, the envelope would never have to be pushed. It's essential to understand the difference between political speech, pandering, and religious speech. Two types are protected, the third is not.

Speaking of women's hair, have you bothered to read any of the materials on the Internet concerning the proper use of "hair" during the performance of felatio?

Obviously you haven't or you wouldn't have taken that reach.

Sometimes the old boys in the baggy pants know some stuff about something, eh?!
