Yes, it is. And I only wish we'd have some information for the general public that goes beyond the evil of the terrorists. Obviously though, the media wish to treat the terrorists as if they're the only show in time. In fact, Reuters and many others refuse to even call them terrorists and prefer the much more benign title - in fact a euphemism of - "insurgents." My recent feeling is that these terrorists are the last great hope for those consumed with rabid anti-Bush sentiments. Each person the terrorists murders is not a poor soul to be lamented and an indictment of the terrorists. That victim is one more piece of evidence that the "insurgents" are winning and the Great Satin is losing. Sad.

You're welcome. I got it on here last night, but was afraid it wouldn't get wide enough distribution.

*************************************************
Unholy Alliance by David Horowitz Regnery Publishing, Inc.; ISBN: 089526076X Hardcover - 256 pages (September 2004) In this tour de force on the most important issue of our time, David Horowitz, confronts the paradox of how so many Americans, including the leadership of the Democratic Party, could turn against the War on Terror. He finds an answer in a political Left that shares a view of America as the Great Satan with Americas radical Islamic enemies. This Left, which once made common cause with Communists, has now joined forces with radical Islam in attacking Americas defenses at home and its policies abroad. From their positions of influence in the university and media culture, leftists have defined America as the root cause of the attacks against it. In a remarkable exploration of the Mind of the Left, Horowitz traces the evolution of American radicalism from its Communist past to its anti-war present. He then shows how this Left was able to turn the Democratic Party presidential campaign around and reshape its views on the War on Terror.
Horowitzs Unholy Alliance, writes John Haynes, the noted historian of American Communism, is an insightful, brilliant examination of the mental world of the radical left. Horowitz shows how todays radicals, unwilling to reflect on the internal flaws that destroyed Marxism-Leninism from within, have embraced an all-consuming nihilism in its place. This has led them to a hatred of American institutions and a solidarity with Islamic terrorists that makes the radical left more properly regarded as dangerous than loony. Unholy Alliance is an eye-opening book that should unsettle conventional assumptions and reveals why intellectuals and political leaders who applaud Michael Moore are no laughing matter. As Harvey Klehr, author of Venona: Decoding Soviet Espionage in America, writes, The world Communist movement may be moribund, but its habits of mind and ideological fantasies have not disappeared. This is a fascinating and depressing account.

Yes, I've heard of Mr. Horowitz's book, but I haven't read it. Obviously, he's done the research to back up what I notice everyday in the news media and see daily too from the Democrats and much of our moral superiors in Europe.

>>>If Muslims want to save their religion the time for them to act is now. Christianity did it almost five centuries ago. It is time for Islam to catch up. Not possible. What Christianity did during the Reformation was begin to follow the Bible. If islam follows the koran we get murderers and war. The only way they will change is if they throw off islam, and that is not going to happen. It is a death sentence for them to leave islam.....just more blood.

Its been almost 32 years now since the US Supreme Court legalized murdering babies, and Christians and the American faithful have had ample opportunity to recognize the direction their religion is taking and take steps to confront its downfall. Theyve done nothing significant.

A specious argument, and highly offensive to me. Christians did not initiate the killing of babies. They do not condone its practice. And, in fact, abortion has been decried by most all churches, with the exception of liberal mainlines.
Islam is perpetrating heinous acts, killing innocents, and gaining adherants through forcible conversion. To equate the Christendom of today with Islam is idiocy.

Oh well, Al Qaeda is doing such things, at any rate. They've killed 3,000 plus of our people, most of them on a day three years ago. Well, we kill more babies than that in a single day. I think you'll have a tough time exonerating Christians of the crime. If you look at our Constitution, our entire national government is responsible to the people. Christians have helped put into place our present leadership, and I don't see very many Christians repenting of it.

The religion of pieces strikes again.

More than anything else, this book illustrates the decline of liberalism. American liberalism actually has an honorable past, rooted in healthy skepticism towards people in positions of power. But it's morphed into opposition to protecting national security and public safety. Too bad, because protecting the American public from threats should not be a partisan issue.

If Allah requires this how is he (it?) different from Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec god of death? Should Christianity and the west view or treat it differently?
