What a beautiful sight in this pitiful city.
Any attendees care to share their experiences of today's events?

You know, I checked the Sacto Bee and the SFgate sites for news of this, because I knew that if the 22nd fell on a Saturday there would be a big turnout, and I saw not a word of these rallies. THANK YOU for letting us in on it.

W O W ! !
There's hope for the west coast after all. If this many people showed up to support Pro-Life in Santa Francisca, then God's Hand has not been removed............yet. Pray He never will!!!
To: Carry_Okie
I was there. We had an awesome turnout. The pro-aborts that countered were so vile, hostile, ugly, intolerant, guttermouthed, ignorant and intellectually impotent (I could go on and on but you get the picture).
To: Iam1ru1-2
No, it's always held at the Capitol - Olympia. I'm not living there, but used to. Generally speaking they would get several thousand....which the media would always scale back. There are always freaks who counterprotest life...usually no more than 20. They are typically in early 20's, have lots of metal in their face, dress in black, and sport unnatural colors of hair. They are a fraction of the attendees, but get most of the press.
To: Citizen James
These....people....look.....
NORMAL.
That says a lot about a political or social movement.
Compare that with the lib/socialists or abortion supporters.

I am in Portland attending a professional meeting. I went for dinner this evening to another hotel across the street from where I'm staying and saw on the 'Events' display that NARAL was having a large gathering in one of the ballrooms. I wanted to ask some of the attendees if there was any chance at all they might still become a 'choice', but alas!, it was not to be.:-( Tomorrow I get to go home to the sanity that is Texas.:-)

Both sides of abortion issue rally on Roe v. Wade anniversary (
San Jose Murky News article)
All the local news stations (KTVU-2, KNTV-11, KRON-4, KPIX-5; didn't see KGO-7) led off with the rallies. All led off with the pro-abort rally, led by the usual elected thugs of Gaaaaaavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, and Tom Aaaaaaaaaamiano (like he could ever impregnate anybody) rally the pro-aborts.

Thanks for the report! I was glad to see signs from Silent No More. They were the group I was with during the "March for Women's Lives" in DC last year.
That day was long, but it felt great standing up for life! There was a good thing that came out of that day...it led me to Free Republic!
Hope to see some of you Freepers on Monday in Washington for the March for Life.

I attended last Wednesday's March for Life in Olympia. About 1000-1500 people. It was really wonderful! It is the largest annual event held on the capitol steps.

We had our rally for life last Wednesday. It was interesting the effect God's Holy word had on them. When our speaker began to lead us in prayer, the left went mad - shouting that no prayer could be uttered on the public capitol steps, and then they all began chanting "b*ll sh*t, b*ll sh*t." It reminded me of when Holy water is thrown on a vampire in the movies... They just went mad.

hi San FRancisco area FReepers! I was there today. First rally I've done of any kind since before the 2000 election. What an amazing experience.
The Walk for Life crowd was respectful, humble, quiet, civilized, law abiding (and fully dressed), prayerful, cheerful and friendly.
The people protesting the Walk for Life were everything CCC said- it is really hard to describe. The pics do it best. The comments hurled toward us were shocking, as were most of the signs they held.
The SF police were wonderful. I would not have wanted to be there without their friendly, watchful protection. I think I'll send them a thank you note for their work.
Many of the opposition side were telling us to go back to the valley; back to 'Modesto'. They told us that we were not welcome in their city. The hateful things they said were amazing. The only ones that really stick in my mind were the ones with the spiritual element; like how they hate God, and how they hate Christians. They were very open about it.
The walk was a happy success. The theme was a very positive , pro woman, pro family, 'Women deserve better'. It was a beautiful day and I made a few new friends and saw old friends, and it was very encouraging to see so many people from all over CA and even from other states, who love life and want to encourage America to choose life.

There was a rally at our state Capitol too on Tuesday. Not as many people went to Sacramento as the year before. Many were either concentrating on today's rally and/or the Presidential inaugural.
shouting that no prayer could be uttered on the public capitol steps
Free speech for thee, not for me. Intolerance of the extreme left.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Yes, you are correct about that, too! And they wee so ugly and full of hate, vile language and signs.
To: Citizen James
Thank you for posting. Praise God is all I can think of to say.
To: Gal.5:1
The other side would have improved their looks tremendously by wear burquas. Still wouldn't have covered the ugly, festering hatred that they eat, drink, and defecate.
To: Libertina
shouting that no prayer could be uttered on the public capitol steps, and then they all began chanting "b*ll sh*t, b*ll sh*t." Interesting that although they erroniously think the "wall of separation" is part of the Constitution, I'd bet that few understand what the free exercise clause denotes.
Let me guess what their religious affiliation might be.

That (picture with the woman's stomach and the foot pushing against the inside) was the most incredible picture I have ever seen in reference to abortion. I consider myself to be a pretty tough, macho guy but that nearly brought tears to my eyes.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Great stuff. We're in DC getting ready for the March here. y four year old grand triplets will be accompanying us this year including my granddaughter who a Doctor once suggested reducing because she was smaler than her brothers.
That Doctor didn't last long and my granddaughter is now a beautiful 4 year old and the alpha princess. :-}

God bless these people. They are on the front lines in the belly of the beast in the People's Republicn of San Franscico.
To: Carry_Okie
There are people in power who are truly evil.
And of course Gaaaaavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Mark Leno, and Tom Aaaaaaaamiano were out in force rallying the pro-aborts.
And I still can't find abortion rights anywhere in my copy of the constitution. But then they make up their own laws anyway regardless of constitutionality with the oligarchy of their chosen courts to back 'em up if the people get uppity.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Well, I put that, because, various levels of nudity seems to be part of their way of protesting and making their point. It is rather embarrassing while trying to have a civilized conversation in public in mixed company. Basically, it is just sad. The shouted comments, behavior and signs of the protesting crowd were sad and very revealing of the darkness that pervades this SF area.
But the light of truth overcomes the darkness.
