Homeland Security Agents Force Plane to Land in San Antonio
WOAI ^ | 1/24/2005 | ElephantinTexas

Posted on 01/24/2005 10:12:18 PM PST by ElephantinTexas

This is my first post so I hope I got it right.

This is breaking here in San Anonio. A single engine plane has been forced down at Stenson Field south of San Antonio. Homeland Security, DPS and SAPD are on the scene. They are waiting for a Chinese tranlator but they have Chinese illegals in custody and said that the pilot was someone Homeland Security has been looking for.

I'll post more as it comes available.

We know that the guy is here in San Antonio they just had him on our local station, KSAT 12.

He is going by Hameed Afzal 'this week' and he claims that he has rented this plane a couple of times a week to this very same pilot over the last several months and he has "never had this kind of a problem with him" so somebody's not telling the truth.

Azfel now has his flight school at the San Antonio Int'l Airport Campus.

Will there be such a thing as an illegal immigrant if and when this amnesty shit makes it into law? If they were Mexicans they would be given a red piece of carpet, an American's job and a voting registration card, not a prison bed....

"Will there be such a thing as an illegal immigrant if and when this amnesty s#!t makes it into law? "

THE PROBLEM WITH "ANY WILLING EMPLOYEE" IMMIGRATION REFORM
By Michelle Malkin   ·   January 23, 2005 10:32 AM

Does President Bush mean it when he says he wants an "immigration policy that helps match any willing employer with any willing employee"?

In a letter to the Los Angeles Times published this morning, Doug Ellice of Bethesda, Md., examines the implications of such a policy:

When people say, "match willing workers with willing employers, as long as American workers honestly cannot or do not want to fill the jobs," can they imagine how many people from other hemispheres might want to apply?

If anyone wants to hire hard-working poor people who, in addition, speak English, the Philippines can send 1 million or 2 million next Friday.

And if language is not required, Chinese workers can do to Mexican workers in our job market the same damage that Chinese manufacturers are doing to Mexican manufacturers in their respective factories.---snip

[T]he primary consideration as to how many guest workers might be admitted into the country appears to be the willingness of the employers and their foreign-born employees to match up the ability of the program "to fulfill the employers' needs."

As the President's position currently stands, that means that every new job created in America could be offered at minimum wage, and if no American can be found to accept the eroded wage, the job would be up for grabs to any foreign guest worker who's willing.

Has anyone seen this, I've looked everywhere I can think.

Last night on the "ticker" on CNN:

"15 illeal immigrants from S.KOREA and man accused of trying to smuggle them across the US were arrested in New Mexico on NY bound Amtrak train"

What he means is he never got caught before.

Medical Class : Second Medical Date: 08/2004

Could someone who knows more about pilot registration explain this? Does this mean he was issued some kind of extension on his pilot's license? After he failed to file registration papers for the plane?

A Second Class Medical Certificate is required to (legally) fly as an instructor, or any other flying for hire. It's valid for 24 calendar months, then another examination by a flight surgeon is necessary.

A medical certificate is in no way connected to a person's pilot certificate or aircraft registration.

I searched for the story...it disappeared.

Imagine that. Thanks to the MSM, we're being invaded and nobody will ever know about it.

I know...I work just down the street from Stinson Airport. Just curious as to why the plane registration, in his name, has the DE address listed and seeing what further info I can come up with. I believe you are right...he is lying. As I stated before, the plane is not currently registered, which makes his whole "I need to do better background checks" statement very suspicious. Hope they fine the heck out of him, if nothing else.

I'm with you. KSAT has updated the story and there are just a lot of pieces that still don't stack up yet. Here's the link.

Haven't found anything yet on that story, but did find this from Jan 18 :

Border agents have arrested a man they say was trying to smuggle 17 Chinese citizens and an Albanian into the United States through an underwater train tunnel that links Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit.

On August 18, authorities caught 22 Chinese nationals and one Pakistani who apparently crossed the border aboard a train from Canada.

The arrest was last week...he is in court now...

ALBUQUERQUE -- A 27-year-old Korean man arrested last week in Albuquerque with other Korean nationals has appeared before a federal magistrate on human smuggling charges. Pyung Seop Lee was remanded into the custody of the US Marshal Service Friday during his initial appearance. A day earlier, Lee and 15 other South Korean nationals were stopped a train bound for the East Coast from Los Angeles and arrested in Albuquerque. US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials believe the group intended to stay and work illegally in the United States. The agency says the men had Republic of Korea passports lacking the proper US visa or admission stamps. Agents say Lee was carrying the mens' train tickets and four-thousand dollars in cash. He's scheduled for a preliminary hearing Friday.
