Well, well, well.
Looks like someone's really working hard on "improving" Polish-Jewish and Catholic-Jewish relations.

Doesn't 'Never Forget' mean that you don't erase history either?

Dear Coalition for Jewish Concerns,
Having been the victim of horrendous and unconscionable historical events confers no rights to you to victimize others today.
Learn from what happened to you, and see if that which you are demanding here may be a touch hypocritical.

No, I mean don't erase it. The Catholic church at Birkenau was the HQ for some SS commandant assclown.

Egads as if Jews dont have enough bad press these days without clowns like this drawing more hate for them.
It might be news to these ethnocentric bigots, but alot of Polish Catholics died in the 'Holocaust' too, because Hitler wanted to decapitate Polands leadership.
Unless of course, you care to claim that the Catholics slaughtered dont count somehow.
Catholics have every right to mourn their own that the Nazis killed, and that church was taken over by the SS probably by force or threat of force.
The church is not in the habit of renting its buildings out to the state for use in these sorts of things.
Good greif.

Demonstration Against Catholic Church in Birkenau ?
I'm worried that these evil Poles may once again kick their innocent Jewish asses.
To: JFK_Lib
You see, I was really hoping, that we - I mean Poles and Jews - had left all this far away behind us.
In early 90's there was a big argument about a Catholic convent, that was located in a building located within or just next to Auschwitz camp area. There were also many Jewish demostrations against it at that time and the convent was finally removed
Later on, some Jewish organizations recognized, that a cross, that was located outside the area of the former death camp (but pretty close to its fence) to commemorate Poles, who were shot in that site is to tall and is visible from the camp area. And again - they demanded that cross to be removed, because: the presence of the cross at Auschwitz is totally inappropriate since one million Jews were murdered there by the Nazis because they were Jews. We demand that the church decamp the cross immediately. The presence of the cross only perpetuates the strong feeling that the Catholic church is making a deliberate effort to Christianize sites and symbols of the Holocaust. The Polish government, which administers the Auschwitz site, has the power to remove the cross..
We are very patient and conciliatory people so the cross was also removed - after some disturbances and demostrations of people defending it.
And now again the same song. I'm just affraid, that patience may have some limits.
And - what astonishes me - each time Rabbi Avi Weiss shows up in such occasions.

Any demonstration against the Catholic Church can't be all bad. Because of the Inquisition alone, it ought to shut its doors and disband, and apologize to the rest of the world everyday for the rest of history. I saw a report on WWII the other night where the Catholic PM of Slovakia paid to have Nazi Germany haul off its Jewish population, yet another feather in the Roman cap for an unquestionably ungodly mistake on their part.
I used to wonder how the antichrist would arise from a worldwide organization in Rome, but no longer. Based on all the horrible persecutions that have emanated from there, I'm not sure why it hasn't already happened. God forgive us Christians for not informing the people better against these hyper-deceived cultists.....

I've visited Auschwitz and one of the cells there (now memorialized with flowers and votive candles) was occupied by Father Maximilian Kolbe who gave his life for another prisoner and then was martyred. Auschwitz is a Christian cemetary as well.

A quote from your page:
Wasn't anti-Catholic in my youth, but the more I hear about it, the less I like it. (Inquisition, Fox's Book of Martyrs, etc).
No further comment needed, I suppose.

The demonstrators at Auschwitz will be at the Catholic church in Birkenau, Auschwitz killing grounds, where over a million Jews were murdered. The church had been the SS commandants headquarters at Birkenau. Who's brilliant idea was it to put a freakin' church on the site the head Nazi murderers office in the first place? Couldn't they just leave the place alone? I hate "demonstrations" but I can sort of understand it is hallowed ground.

Wasn't there a connection between some Roman Catholic priests is Croatia who assisted some nazis from that county so they could get into Argentina and Canada? I read that the nazis were hidden from the allies in a house on Vatican grounds.
Seems like it was in a book by John Loftis or Lofton?
I am quite old and I just cannot remember all the details.
I think some Ukrainian nazis got to Canada and Australia the same way.
I am not anti-Roman Catholic at all, but every group seems to have sins... even my own Baptists.

You got bad info, this is a load of donkey dung.

These Jews are confrontational and insincere, looking to get free press for the controversy that they manufacture.
They do not want reconciliation; they make their cash on confrontation instead.
Since the RCC is backing off at every opportunity, why should they stop?
You will have to hand them the whole country of Poland before they will shut up and maybe not even then.

I know nothing about the Catholic PM of Slovakia, so I can't comment on that. But while you're stewing about "all the horrible persecutions" that have emanated from Rome, you might want to reflect on the 860,000 Jews that the Israeli scholar Pinchas Lapide estimates were saved through the efforts of Pope Pius XII. People were hidden in the Pope's summer residence, given jobs in the Vatican, dressed as religious etc.

Perhaps you might ask yourself why most of the concentration camps were located in Poland.
You might ask yourself how the Poles treated their jewish neighbors.
You might remind yourself that the Warsaw Ghetto was actually in Poland, believe it or not.

This was incredibly stupid, I agree. A monument to the Catholics that were killed,ok...a church? Nah.
