A 16-year-old charged with forcing a woman into her Beacon Hill apartment and raping her at gunpoint has been indicted as a youthful offender, meaning he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted, Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said yesterday. The teenager, Zaquan Martin, is accused of raping the woman three times after forcing her into her Joy Street home at gunpoint in November. Authorities said Martin bound the woman after raping her and later bound the woman's roommate when she returned home during the attack. The crime frightened residents of the tony neighborhood.

I'm sure the lack of funds to various social programs and public schools made this beast a rapist...

Rape suspect charged as youthful offender

What the hell does that mean? If he's being charged as an adult, say it. "Youthful offender" makes it sound like he's going to get a time out.

But Norman Zalkind, a prominent criminal defense lawyer in Boston, questioned the logic of applying such tough sanctions to juveniles. "A 16-year-old is not a 20-year-old," Zalkind said. "Teenagers change pretty rapidly and they can be saved, [whereas] adults sometimes can't be."

A sixteen year old who steals a car or vandalizes some street signs or deals some weed can be "saved."

A sixteen year old who breaks into a woman's home and RAPES HER THREE TIMES while binding her roommate and forcing her to watch is beyond salvation.

Why do these idiots never know where to draw the line?

Why do these idiots never know where to draw the line?

Because they don't believe evil exists, here,on this earth.

They think it's all in a movie, like the "exorcist".

They have no understanding of good, pure goodness,so evil cannot exist in their mind.

I thought that was implied! If I wasn't specific enough, here's what they should do:

1. Buy a gun

2. Buy lots of ammo for the gun

3. Get instruction from a qualified individual

4. Practice, practice, practice!

Step 31 is tough in Boston!

This is a crime that certainly could have been prevented if the victim had been armed and prepared.

This is lawyerspeak for, "...unless, of course, they can pay my bloated fee, in which case, of course they can be saved."
