Is is the most un-American speech I've ever heard a chief executive give to the United States, and only one was as gruesome and off key as this and that guy is Harry Truman who's being made into a hero because he fits the imperial mode.

That an American audience could sit reverently in front of their TV screens and not see the absurdity of what was being said: absolute proof of a couple of things that most thoughtful people feel: We have the worst educational system of any first world country.

When I went home for Christmas I had to listen to my sister's husband who is a trial lawyer and his friend, who is also a trial lawyer, go on and on. Whenever I brought up a point, they would want to change the subject and say they didn't really like talking politics. It wouldn't be two minutes before they started again.
