Billboard Blitz to Blast Hollywood
Human Events Online ^ | January 28, 2005 | Human Events

Posted on 01/28/2005 1:48:32 PM PST by hinterlander

HUMAN EVENTS has learned that a billboard blitz "thanking" Hollywood for the reelection of President Bush will be unveiled early next week.

The advertisements feature the faces of liberal Hollywood icons Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Affleck, Martin Sheen, Chevy Chase, Barbara Streisand, and Sean Penn, and offer thanks to Hollywood their help getting President Bush reelected.

Two versions of the billboard were created, both "thanking" Hollywood -- the first for "4 more years" and the second for "W. Still President."

Billboard creator Citizens United, a group that advocates a return to traditional American values, has purchased the use of three billboards near the Kodak Theatre (home of the Academy Awards) for the month of February, which includes Oscar Night, Sunday, February 27.

Asked about the campaign, Citizens United President David Bossie said, "We're taking on Hollywood. We've done it in the past." Of the organization's many actions, one of its most famous challenges to Hollywood was Celsius 41.11, a documentary exposing "the truth behind the lies of Fahrenheit 9/11," the Michael Moore anti-Bush mock-umentary.

LOL This isn't a normal type of RPR thread, but P.J. heartily approves!

What is the Republican Party Reptile? It is a creature of the eighties. It's neoconservatism with its pants down around its ankles, the Rehnquist Supreme Court on drugs, a disco Hobbes living without shame or federally mandated safety regulations. The Republican Party Reptile supports a strong defense policy, but sees no reason to conduct it while sober. The RPR believes in minimum government interference in private affairs; unless the government brings over extra girls and some ice. In short, the RPR is the new label that our political spectrum has been crying out for; the conservative with a sense of humor and a healthy dose of depravity.

Yes, but like all his recent roles, it was completely forgettable.

He campaigned for Kerry...was at the DNC...travelled on the bus, but he wasn't an obnoxious jerk about it like Chevy Chase or Sean Penn.

It's difficult.

First, you must pass the Seven Tests of Strength.

Then, you must prove your courage via the Feats of Valor.

Following, you must pass a 1,000-page written test designed to assess if you have necessary intelligence to become an RPR.

Or, you could ask to be on, buy me a Pepsi, and I'll say sure. :^)

Out of all of the Hollywood leftists, I can almost forgive Ben Affleck. He didn't do anything to outrageous and he did not get personal. I think he is just a Boston kid who made more money than he knows what to do with and doesn't know better.

I hope they put the billboards under 24 hour camera surveillance so they can catch whatever lib who tries to deface them. Its not hard to imagine a drunken Sean Penn climbing the sign with a knife in his teeth or fat Moore sitting in an SUV with a paint-ball gun.

Wonderful!

Now that the Hollywood Elites have made themselves Public Political Figures, they can find out how it feels to be publicly belittled and have no legal protections to stop it. Their once highly marketable images have become political dung for free use in political posters such as these.

Rock On!

RamS
