A German court spokesman said Friday no decision had been made on whether to prosecute U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for the Abu Ghraib prisoner scandal.

They put people on trial for scandals in Germany?

In that case shouldn't they be arresting Chancellor Gerhard?

I read that, notice the time of this story, and the previous one. Looks like someone told them to hold off.

So, I can go to my local court in the middle of the US and file all kinds of charges against German official, etc., huh!

===

The German court would need some kind of legal theory/authority, and they have none---unless they want to charge that, by the US deposing Saddam Hussein, certain German beneficiaries suffered because the benefits from the UN's Oil for Food Swindle were drastically reduced.

Wir sollten die Kinder von Hitler Russisch sprechen lassen.

Maybe this is what should be said. Or something to that effect.

...But a German court spokesman said: "We have yet to decide whether or not to pursue the charge." ...

Oh by all means, pursue it. We love it when you people show your puny asses publicly.

Germany bailed on the war in Iraq. It seems to me they have no leg to stand on with this.

Sorry to use the phrase, but it's "Bush's fault" for not signing on to the International Criminal Court. That'd make it so much easier for them to 'Declare War on the US'!!!

We should probably feel sorry for the Germans and French who enjoy false Republics that are probably more oppressive than the Kaisers or the Sun King could ever be.

What's real interesting is, this story comes out on the anniversary of Auschwitz. Is it a coincidence? Or do the Germans have guilt complex?

Is this from the Onion or Scrappleface? LOL Next you'll tell me that Canada invaded Minnesota! The Florida National Guard could kick Germany's butt, and they have the nerve to play these stooopid games? Might be time for Normandy Redux.

Why don't we just settle this with a duel between a M1 Abrams and Leopard II?

They should consider the fact that Rumsfeld commands enough forces to make French the official language of Germany.

*Chuckle* It'd serve the cowards right. And that's coming from someone who's German descent. We just had the brains to get out way long ago.

If I recall correctly, Germany wasn't part of the war in Iraq. They matter as much as Borneo throwing a fit.

I hope this opens the eyes of the DC criminals who make our laws. IF President Bush had joined the International Criminal Court, they could legally go after Rummy. Hopefully, those same DC idiots will think twice before signing us into another treaty!!
