How terrible, at this rate Zimbabwe will be threatening to try American officials, and then what will we do?

Mirror, Mirror On the Wall...
Germany's favorite tabloid Bild, has spent money to
prove what many have long known: Germans are the most
pessimistic people in the industrialized world. The
survey, commissioned by the paper from Gallup, found
that only 25 percent of Germans look positively to the
future whereas 65 percent of Americans see themselves
with rosy tomorrows. Another factoid from the survey:
90 percent of Germans say they don't trust their
leaders, compared to 65 percent of Americans. How to
explain the discrepancy? It's simple, Klaus-Peter
Schoeppner, head of Gallup in Germany, tells Bild.
Americans are movers and shakers, while Germans are
whiners and complainers. "That's why the US and not
Germany can climb out of crisis easily," he said. "We
should look more often to America for advice."

Need not worry...they are so confused they don't know which end is up.

The dems would love nothing more than to have Rumsfeld be tried in Germany, or any other country. They are dying for another Nixon.

On the other thread, I linked to a post from yesterday about Rumsfeld not going to the security conference.
Washington told the Germans in December to settle the matter or Rummy wasn't coming, according to an article I cited on the thread.
It was funny that the Germans decided to make a statement today, a day late and a dollar short, IMHO. Now this.

German justices need to have their cuckoo clocks reset or the quality of German beer has declined. Isn't this the country without any transport planes for its troops? Did they not need Ukraine to help them with air transport with their "contribution" to the Balkan wars? Don't they have enough problems at home to deal with--such as rising anti-semitism?

Lets see, We have a German legal case here where there are no Germans involved as victims or otherwise and there is absolutely no evidence linking the "accused" to the commission of any crime. But we can't decide whether or not to proceed with a criminal prosecution.
I think I must have slipped into a coma back in January and just now awakened to discover that it's April 1st.

I would love to see Rumsfeld go, they arrest him and what follows would be something the German peacenicks would never forget. It would also finish Germany economically.
They just can't be trusted. IMHO

FReepers help me on this one.
As I recall, there was a recent report (or multiple reports) that implicated NATO (German and French?) military personel with sex slave and drug trafficing in Bosnia (Kosovo?).
I'm sure these are chargable offenses for which we can counter indicte Herr Schroeder and his military commanders for. After all, one ill turn deserves another.

BS. Let's make some international court indict Rumsfeld!
Go for it and create another war.
The UN will be shipped to them in 7 days.
An Good Bye.

The Rummy issue hasn't been a big topic in the sites I watch. So I don't think it was done to divert attention from other news.
There's a major soccer scandal that has blown up the front pages since yesterday.
Pretty messy, involves the Croatian mafia and referees fixing games for them.
Not to cool when you're hosting the World Cup next year.
That's something they'd want off the international headlines.
Again, though, the Rummy story isn't an issue there. Most Germans know it's a frivolous lawsuit.

I find the whole thing strange. Bush told them on the side to settle the deal before Rumsfeld went. They didn't.
With Fischer sure to get his face time speaking at the conference, the last thing I'd want is Rumsfeld still on the docket as an alleged war criminal in the German system.Joschka would have a ball playing with that.
Have you been following the referee scandal? Toppmoeller took it in the behind after the HSV Pokal loss to Paderborn. He's suing. I can't say I blame him.

Get Monaco's help. It's no use, they've sold out their army to Liechtenstein. That makes two airplanes, a huge stamp collection, and four armed roulette tables against us.

I hope to God that we have every single US Troop, and every piece of American Equipment out of Germany as quickly as can be arranged. Let them stew in their own stinking economy along with the Frogs.
Don't leave anything that they can melt down for scrap...
