Trial lawyers who sue like this should be ashamed of themselves, but they aren't.

Countersuit should be filed, and the lawyer who took the case directly targeted for discipline and possible disbarment.

I'll bet if Planned Infanticide (whoops I meant Parenthood) were being hammered with B.S lawsuits you'd go deaf with the call for tort reform from the libs. Unless you've got some sort of medical condition, it's simple. Push yourself away from the table once in a while and get some exercise. 30 lbs to go to hit my target, Atkins was a good start. I just got sick of the daily GI ruckus it was causing me.

Man oh man! Why is it we cannot get people to take responsibility for themselves? I'll tell you why. It's because we have people like this b!^ch and her husband that just can't get a real job. They make their money off the insecurities of liberals who go thru life it has to be someone else's fault. It is a sad state in this country when the public needs such a crutch as these two to tell them how to take care of themselves. I think I'm going to hurl! Guess what? I was gettin pretty heavy myself. Guess what? Now get ready for it....
IT WAS MY FAULT! It wasn't McDonalds, it wasn't WalMart, it was
mine. Guess what else? I quit eating so much! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you need to reduce your intake, eat healthier foods, and get a little exercise. Why do
so many morons put money into the pockets of people like this in order to learn what common sense told them the first time they looked in the mirror and said to themselves "Boy I look like sh!t". By sending these idiots money all they do is encourage them to spew more B.S. They themselves start to believe they have a higher calling. Then get a lawyer involved and we're off to court to save the universe. It must be nice to go thru life without ever really having to earn your keep.
(thanx, I feel much better now)

Kathy Fettke's lawyer is Stephen Joseph, founder of and counsel to BanTransFats.com, a San Francisco-based organization whose goal is the reduction and elimination of trans fats from all food products. Is this issue worthy of its organization? I hope it isn't a 501(c)(3).

So this lady is paying her own lawyer to sue, and the only relief she wants is that McDonalds change cooking oil?

Do people not get it that you cannot eat fast food everyday and be healthy or even feel good? If I were to eat that stuff on a regular basis I would feel awful.
To: freepatriot32
Gee, anybody remember McLean? Nobody ate it, and McDonalds is there to make money from the masses, and not to pacify a minority of advocates. I stopped eating at McDonalds when they switched to the "new" fat - the fries are like cardboard now, totally inedible.

But, but...if I don't have some fat in my diet, my eyes lose their sparkle and my silky coat loses it's brilliant sheen!
I find a handful of M&Ms a day helps. :)

Is no one reading the articles anymore?
They're not asking for monetary damages--they're asking McDonald's to switch to healthier fat. From what I've read, trans fat is even nastier than saturated fat, and more of a health problem. They're actually performing a public service because McDonald's food will be healthier, and pressure will be put on other processed food manufacturers to get rid of trans fat as well.
There's a knee jerk reaction here to criticize any legal action. Some legal actions are productive!!
