I wonder how Ted Kennedy is feeling today.

FAT and STUPID...you know, normal.

I believe the woman had to go into a tent to be frisked for weapons to prevent prying eyes. That's the reason for separate lines.

I think that is henna staining her fingers. If it is and she is a newlywed it is the custom in some places that as long as design remains she needs to do no housework.

I love the wedding henna customs (and I would keep that on as LONG as possible!)

Dio - I've been away for the last 4 days without internet access but followed the Iraqi election watching cable news while I could. Imagine my surprise to see your posted pic of J Lo voting! I had no idea....

Great pics, glad to see you back in business.

Some would look at that and see half a man - I see ten times the man I will ever be. Godspeed to that Marine, and all other American servicemen.

I'm so sorry. These things seem so far away sometimes and we have to realize that all this is very personal and heart rending for many. May God bless the works of this young man's hands and may he be rewarded in eternity for his service to our country. Please send our sympathies to his family. I'm sorry for YOUR loss, too.

"In Basra, some 'Iraqis' protest after election officials could not find their names on voting lists, and refused them entry to a polling center."
Calling Mr Moore, Mr Boxer and Kennedy...

Not gonna help 'em much. Like saying they found fraud in rural Texas outside the valley. That would mean Bush should have won by even more in Texas. Basra is Shiite, and the Shiites had a huge turnout to being with. They are also the majority in the country.
