Ping to #59.
What great day. I type though tears.
It's a great day.
Thanks for the ping. I, too, have spent many hours in tears in the past couple of days.
On a personal note, the son of a friend, was killed in the helicopter crash that took the lives of 31 brave and valiant Marines, who were on their way to western Iraq to help with the election. Sgt. Brian Bland, 26, from Newcastle, Wyo. His body was returned home last night, with a full contingent of dress uniformed Marines escorting his casket. He and my son went to high school together and were members of the same wrestling team. He will be buried Thursday in Newcastle, with full military honors.
This made the Iraqi elections especially meaningful to those who knew him.
Brian was a true patriot, a good Marine, and died for a cause he truly believed in. He will be missed.
How dare Kennedy, Kerry and others of like small minds denigrate what these finest Americans are doing and dying for?
