I'm curious: a lot has been made about money being a possible factor in Michael's decision: is it possible to buy Michael Shiavo off? Not that I'd like to see him get it, but I'd give $50 to the cause.
There is evidence that Michael traumatized Terri by physically abusing her (x-rays from 1991). The family has even offered NOT to pursue charges against him for possible abuse and attempted murder. He still won't bite. Perhaps he fears if evidence is compiled against him the family won't be able to stop the authorities from his prosecution.
However, there is definitely a POWER and CONTROL thing (on Michael's part) occurring here and also the Euthanasia crowd has much at stake in Terri's case.

I'll up that by 4x, but I will also match it to the Schindler's for their legal defense fund, they need it more than Michael who has been playing King Midas with Terri's money. WHERE IS THE INSURANCE COMPANY THAT PAID OFF. IF I WERE A STOCKHOLDER I'D BE LIVID THAT THEY WEREN'T FILING TO RECOVER EVERYTHING NOT SPENT FOR HER BENEFIT INCLUDING THE LEGAL FEES.
