Good. That way they can take out the NAACP and other hate groups who won't cooperate.

If $500 million is an 8% increase for tax enforcement, that means the IRS is spending $6.2 billion chasing tax evaders already. What's wrong with this picture?

So the Bush administration wants the tax laws enforced more enegetically against citizens -- while condoning massive illegal immigration and the untaxable cash economy that illegals have established.

The extra money extorted from taxpayers would be used for audits, collections and investigations the further deconstruction of our REPUBLIC

Note to Bush: How about all the businesses that hire illegal aliens under the table??????? Of course Bush could care less about this portion of the law. Only 78 business in all the US were fined in 2003 for committing this crime - what a joke.

Well, of course he has to collect more tax, he intends all of the criminal aliens to be able to collect SSI and welfare when they are not taking jobs illegally at less than minimum wages. He has to make the citizens pay for the criminals.

I must say I voted for him but if I had a real choice I would have voted differently. As one said the other day, voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

"Enforcement more than pays for itself,"

I had a combined business/personal audit in 1996. Both returns, side by side, line for line. They extracted an additional $1200. in taxes, after 3 - 6 hour days with my accountant. No penalties, or interest was charged, because IRS considered it an "honest" mistake. My accountant charged me $3800. for his time.

If enforcement pays for itself, it depends on who is paying. In this case, near as I can tell, everybody lost. Even my accountant, who had to find another client.

Bush has to steal more - he's spending like he's drunk. So he needs more thugs desperately.

every self-incorporated person I know in the NY metro area leases a luxury car like a Mercedes for their personal use, and writes it off as a business expense. Its the write-offs taken by these self incorporated people that involves much of the tax evasion. Compliance amongst W2 wages earners and people who earn investment income on 1099s and have simple deductions like mortgages is likely very high - they are paying full freight.

Screw him. Maybe if there were a wealth tax instead of an income tax the people who run the world would not be so eager to shove it up our asses. http://www.yahoo.com/_ylh=X3oDMTB2MXQ5MTU3BF9TAzI3MTYxNDkEdGVzdAMwBHRtcGwDaW5kZXgtaWU-/s/228594
I have nothing against money or people who make it. I just have a problem with the ruling class in this country trying to block the rest of us from becoming wealthy.

Wait just a second here. I thought Bush was gonna try and eliminate the IRS. This is one idea that needs to be deep-sixed right now.

This is a disgrace.
Let's hope the House, at least, is on the taxpayers' side.
