Ping to a disgusting event!!!
Well, so much for pulling out your hymnal and singing "Onward Christian Soldiers." Oh wait, that one's been bounced as too militaristic in today's mainlines anyway. And, God forbid, that a hymn would be sung in today's non-mainline protestant churches.....
Any day now quoting the Bible will be hate speech.
Ok, they go after a preacher, but they won't do anything about the calls for jihad in the mosques.
FBI was just doing their job. But I wonder what twerp reported the good pastor's sermons and quoted him out of context to make it sound like the pastor was advocating violence.
That twerp should be fined the cost of the investigation and be considered for a charge of wilfull attempt to press false charges, or somesuch.
Tell the FBI PUKES to "PACK SAND" and show them the door!
Already is. Aren't there some people in Philadelphia looking at long prison terms for "conspiracy to commit hate speech" because they read the Bible and prayed out loud at a gay rights event?
I still love "Onward Christian Soldiers".
3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10
Ofcorse we know that no Islamofascist will turn in a speaker at a MOSQUE. But we are aware what is being advocated at Mosques. My question, How many FBI questioning of Imans or Shieks or whatever they are has occured?
I remember a post a while back that had to do with "progressives" paying visits to churches (in Missouri, I believe) that didn't tow the "progressive" line on abortion and gay rights or were too "political." They did this with the sole purpose of making trouble, for example, reporting offending churches to the IRS. Maybe they paid this pastor a visit as well.
Now now, in my non-mainline protestant church of about 200-300 people per service (2), we sing a blend of newer music with the older music. Works out fine.
But, back to the issue. The way things are going these days, my dad (a pastor) may end up getting a visit from the FBI for the same reason. And, he'd probably handle it in the same way that this pastor did. At least it ain't Canada. Yet.
The FBI dropped it like a hot rock once they figured out that the anonymous informant (read: cowardly person trying to overthrow the pastor) was lying to them. Good for them. Those agents aren't the problem, it's the management that's the problem.
These special agents in general are nothing but shock troops for big government. They are steamrolling private citizens who are law-abiding and God-fearing. This isn't the first time.
It already is in Philly. Haven't you heard?
Yikes.
It sounds kinda similar, except that the gay agenda people have no shame. As such, they want their names out in public as the ones that busted the eeeeeeevil Christians, IMHO.
My PK gut feeling tells me that the informant was a disgruntled pew-warmer that had an axe to grind.
People use military metaphors all the time, e.g., "war on drugs," war on poverty", etc. Sheesh!
