Campaign's Over (Teresa Heinz drops "Kerry" from her name)
Washington Times ^ | 2/3/05 | John McCaslin

What's become of Teresa Heinz Kerry?

Preceding its Women Who Make a Difference Awards Dinner on March 1, the National Council for Research on Women is featuring "a conversation with Teresa Heinz," chairwoman of Heinz Family Philanthropies and, up until Election Day, the highly visible better half of Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry.

"Teresa Heinz will speak to her commitment to women's economic security, including Social Security and retirement," writes the council, not bothering to mention her married name in several references. "I just checked, and she no longer uses her [entire] last name; only during the [presidential] campaign did she use Kerry," the council's Tamara Rodriguez Reichberg told Inside the Beltway upon our inquiry.

Not that I feel the least bit sorry for him, but how sad is that. Why would you even remarry if you have no intention of dropping your former husbands last name?? At the very least she should go back to her maiden name. Time to wake up and smell the ketchup John!! Your wife doesn't need you or your last name!!

I believe she was Hillary Rodham before the 1992 election, but when Der Schlickmeister won, she was stuck with the Clinton part.

This may seem to be not very newsworthy, but, upon reflection, it may be just what we need illustrate the RUSES involved in the Kerry campaign to capture the Whitehouse.

It is one of countless ways in which the Kerry-Heinz's purported to be something they're not.

Democrats have felt they could get away with anything since Clinton got elected. Certainly the exposure of the MSM as extremely biased has neutered one of the tools they've had at their disposal with which they could, in the past, use to successfully purvey their lies, but now the media has no power to persuade, and liberals seem to be unaware it can no longer hide who they really are.

No red-state woman could do this to her man, and get away with it, im my opinion. It really says a lot about what she thought of him all along, and what she thinks about us now.

Hillary changed to Hillary Clinton after Bill lost an election campaign as polls (which the Clintons are 100% driven by) showed that voters didn't like her not taking Bills last name. That was back in the Arkansas days.

The 2004 campaign was the first campaign where both candidates were financed mostly by Republican money.

She didn't even have the name until the campaign had been under way for awhile.

Oh no, no. Right now she's dropped the "Rodham" in order to appear more conservative.

Ooooooooooo... good post, that was juicy..

BTW.. Teresa didn't have a hyphen. Because her spokesman told us 'the African-American with a hyphen belongs to Black Americans.' Soooo, she was hyphen-less. I guess she's just had a simple Kerry-ectome, not the full blown hyphen-ectomy.

Wasn't there some funeral that Rush caught Bill "crying" at, then laughing when he thought he was off camera? Back when he, (Rush) was on TV.

Same here. I predicted she would at least wait 6 months until after he lost the election, but not more than 1 year.
