(CNN) -- Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean appears to have virtually locked up the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee, after his last major challenger dropped out of the race and endorsed him Friday night.
Veteran party activist Donnie Fowler, who had been positioning himself as the alternative candidate to Dean, said it was "clear" Dean had the votes to become the new chairman when DNC members vote next week.

And I thought McAuliffe lacked the emotional balance to be the Dem's spokesman. He will end up looking like a statesman in comparison to Howard "I hate Republicans" Dean.

I agree with the person who said, Hillary is happy that Dean is the new Chairmen. This will make her look more Centrist. It will divide the loony left and the Centrists. The few conservative democrats will either switch parties or join Hillary and the Centrists.
This makes perfect sense to me.

The liberal MSN will have a ball citing Deans instant analogies and running to the opposition for comments.
This country, if sucked in by the MSN yearning for viewer ship recovery will spin in circles of never ending verbiage.
An overwhelming MSN with segregated viewer ships, without purpose and tons of animosity as of yet unequaled. Progress, new ideas, advancements will stay buried.

Here's a couple-related threads about
hatred-powered Howard. The first is an article by Jonathan Chait, who wrote an article titled "Why I hate Bush" or something similar about 6 to 12 months back.
A Suicidal Selection: With Dean as party chairman, the Democrats wouldn't need enemies.

A few weeks ago, when former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean declared his intention to run for chairman of the Democratic National Committee, news reports had the general tone of "Get this, that crazy scream guy is back and he wants to run the party." Now, a week before the vote, his victory is a fait accompli. How did this happen? Are Democrats suicidally crazy?
Wait. That's too easy. Let me rephrase the question. Why are Democrats suicidally crazy?

Dean's howling to lead DNC ("I hate the Republicans")

HOWARD DEAN, THE favorite to be the next head of the Democratic National Committee, made his case in midtown yesterday, promising to make his party operate more like the GOP - at least when it comes to elections.
"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for, but I admire their discipline and their organization," the failed presidential hopeful told the crowd at the Roosevelt Hotel, where he and six other candidates spoke at the final DNC forum before the Feb. 12 vote for chairman. [emphasis added]

I agree with the person who said, Hillary is happy that Dean is the new Chairmen.I doubt it.
Hillary went out of her way to stop dean, she did a political hit job on him last year, and she was doing all the recruiting to keep him from this job.
She's about as happy as a cat trapped in a dog pound.

And I thought McAuliffe lacked the emotional balance to be the Dem's spokesman. He also lacked character.
If he had competancy insteady of corruption, then the GOP would have had serious problems.
Its pretty well known that Terry was a shady guy with alot of shady business dealings.
Dean is less competant but also less corrupt.

Thanks for proving my point.
Dean knows exactly what he has to do to emulate the success of Republicans.
