This is the end result of listening to the feminists--namely, that women have a natural-born right to behave even worse than men. And if women start out with the preconception that all men are rats, behaving even worse takes some doing.

Too bad. For most people, the only real satisfaction and happiness in life comes from marriage, family, and children. It's getting much harder to find a husband or wife who will stick with you than it used to be. This is not to say that marriage is all peaches and cream, because it certainly isn't. But the selfish or lonely alternatives are even worse.

A lot of this has to do with the popular culture in America always talking about women having a "right to get what they need." At the same time, the list of "what they need" keeps growing.

No man can give a woman all she "needs" if she creates a mental list of "needs" a mile long.

An American woman that self-absorbed will HAVE TO HAVE MORE MEN to try and fill her wish list.

Maybe if we were more realistic in our country about what work marriage really is, we'd have people of both sexes willing to accept MARRIAGE IS NOT A FAIRY TALE.

Your date whines about the numerous injustices in her family and workplace. Your date requires more attention than a puppy. Your date has no meaningful practical skills but still has the capacity to criticize yours. Your date believes equality or fairness trumps justice. My folks divorced back when I was 19 and off on my own and my sister was a senior in High School, still at home. My mom was having an affair with another man, who has now been her husband for nearly twenty-five years.

I'm still p*ssed at her, and have little or no repsect for either of them. I tolerate them, but don't go out of my way to spend a lot of time with them.

Not that I don't understand the reasons marriages fail (I have a "teen-marriage" divorce behind me) but it was all just so sorrid and mean-spirited and just irresponsible and rude to us all on her part. The path of destruction those two carved is worse than any tornado I've ever seen. (He had a wife and kids, too.)

I'm the age now that she was then. I can't even conceive of treating my kids and husband the way she treated us.

There is a steep price to pay; for everyone involved. I believe "Collateral Damage" is the term I'm looking for.
