A Warren County elementary teacher faces a maximum 100 years in prison if she's convicted of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.
Only news two was in Fentress County as 27-year-old Pamela Rogers Turner was arrested and charged with 15 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and 13 counts of statutory rape. District Attorney General Dale Potter said that Turner, a physical education teacher and coach at Centertown Elementary, had an ongoing sexual relationship with a male student. Potter said that some of the incidents even took place at school and at the boy's home, where the teacher reportedly lived a short while.
"Most of the time, we try to prosecute them as harshly as possible when it comes to sex crimes involving children. As far as this case, we intend to prosecute it to the fullest extent possible. As far as saying that she will get an x amount of time or anything like that, that will probably be determined by a judge," said Potter.

I wouldn't have minded this if I were a kid. Face facts: There IS a double-standard. It's wrong when a male teacher does it to a girl, it's OK when a female teacher does it to a boy.

Well, because she's an attractive blond woman, let's give her a pass for sexually abusing a 13 year old.
If it were a man with a 13 year old girl, that would be different. Somehow.
What about when a male teacher gets it on with his boy students. Happens alot in the NYC area.
Kids can be fragile. Some 15-year-old boys are emotionally ready to have athletic, emotionless sex with their teachers (or at least, keep their emotions under control). Others are not.
Maybe he was fine for having sex, but getting cut off drove him to depression and suicide. I'm not saying it's a logical choice, but kids don't always have a logical perspective and time seems a lot longer when you're young.

Maaan, the fantasies I had when I was a kid in class..."Danny, let me help you with your homework...Oh I am sooo tired Danny, can I sleep in your bed?"...What I want to know is WHAT are these kids thinking by opening their mouths? I guess the bragging urge is too much for them.

He thought that he was the only one. When the news story broke, he fell into a deep depression (acording to the court transcripts) and killed himself. This teacher apparently tempted all of her male charges. Reports indicated that she arranged the classrom seating assignments so that all males were in the front rows. Also, she wore short skirts and would sit on the edge of her desk so as to display either provocative knickers or the lack thereof. As the trial proceeded, one of the lads disclosed that he and the teacher had sex in the classroom's supply closet. Taxpayer dollars at work.
