The railroads are also subsidized to the hilt with
tax payer dollars. If it wasn't for that the railroads would have gone bust years ago.

I don't know if it was passed.

To think the railroads do not receive taxpayer funding is ludicrous!

The crossing improvement funding is know to everyone with a brain!

I hope this works if not cut and paste into your browser. Explains the difference between government subsidized short line railroads and Class I mainlines

Big surprise there are crooks in Union as well as business. It would appear that many are being caught and prosecuted. I do not have a problem with that at all. I hope they catch em all. In private business beholding to the stock-holders as well.

The Railroads are not required to provide crossings. Communities came to the RR not the other way around. I may be misinformed but the RR pays for half to upgrade a crossing from cross bucks to gates with lights. Probably because so many didn't look both ways when they crossed the tracks and well..... I really don't want to discuss that. RR is such a big subject that I could sit and answer your accusations day after day. I choose not too. There is a wealth of information on railroads out there. Study
